This cursing business is very complicated and tricky. People curse whom they feel comfortable cursing depending upon their understanding of the “perspective” they have grown up learning and the angle that has been inculcated in their innocent minds by their respective scholars.

I am not sure if it is true or not, but I have heard that there are some people who curse Hazrat Abu-Bakr (r.a), Hazrat Umar (r.a), Hazrat Ayesha (r.a)…etc. and then there are those people** who curse those **some people **for cursing the above mentioned companions of the Prophet (saw).

Within the fan club of Hazrat ALI (k.w) there are different people having different opinions about him, and those having one opinion curse the other group for their different views and vice versa. Most of them support the cursing they have grown up listening to from their family and close relatives.

Allah (swt) knows best whom to curse and whom not to. Still, there would always be people in different times who would twist Quranic verses and Hadiths to support their own perspective. Some would even use Quran and Hadith to prove that Imam Mehdi has already arrived, others would have other totally different versions, but all of them referring to the same Quran, looking it from their own angle, that they are comfortable with.

Well said. IMO, our history is not as clear to guarantee that a particular person had behaved /acted in a way which allow people to curse him / her. An authentic source for one sect is mere fabrication for the other. Only Allah knows what is true and whats not. In case, you curse a person for an act, which he/she had not done, then you will be accountable to Allah on day of judgement.

At the end, act of cursing will not make my meezan full of good deeds, which a person will require most on the day of judgement.
