LA

Re: LA

i agree with u tlk it can be a desi thing but the main reason behind this is my mamo always says if u visit US no matter what u'll have to come to my home.. and my fiancee sis says whenever u land u have to come to my home 1st... now the desi part comes that "mere gher pehle qn nhi aye,tum loug badal gaye ho hamain pehle respect qn nhi di blaa blaa..." so we wanna save ourselves from this issue...

i personally wanna go to san francisco and california :) lets see what happens

gemini i have no clue about sponsor an all !! thats y i am sharing this thing here in GS to get some idea like how can we apply whats the easiest way? are we able to get the HM visa?

need ur guidence :)

Re: LA

I do have any immigration visa experience so can;t provide any guidance.. however I do know some people who applied fo visit visa for their honeymoon.. for some it was rejected and some got it.. no big difference at all except how strong their ties were back home.. if you and your fiancee has a stable job with good source of income coming in and that too in UAE visit visa shouldn't be hard.. just apply for one!

and yes you will have to visit family members but Ohio really doesn't have much to do for fun.. LA, there is a lot, I wish we had a week to enjoy our stay there because there is sooooo much to do but we can only afford a weekend getaway with our work schedules :-(

Re: LA

thank you so much for answering

Re: LA

alright so we are back from LA and here is my review!!

We loved every minute spent there.. I really wish we had more time though!!!!

We were able to do Disney land, Universal Studios, and Sea world (San diego)

We got there around noon on Friday, had an early check in, and found out that Disney land is in fact open until midnite.. which worked out great for us!!! and I have to say it's the ditto copy of Magic Kingdom (only magic kingdom is better) but still it was fun.. the fireworks was just spectacular and the special feature for holiday "it's a small world display" was awesome..loved it!!!

Next day we spent the whole day at the Universal studios starting at 10:30am.. what an experience!!! took pretty much all the rides available there.. fun indeed! The studio tour was great but the best was the waterworld stunt show at the end of the day!!! Ended our day with the dinner at Al watan.. loved the tikka but their kabab curry was spicy! Chai was okayish!

and the third day we left for San diego at 6:30 in the morning keeping in mind there will be a lot of traffic and it was just the clear road ahead of us so we took couple of detours.. first one at newport beach hoping we will find a beach but we didn't.. instead we got the fuel for the car n ourselves and went on our way to San Diego only to find ourselves taking another detour at Carlsbad(sp?) beach.. it was nice.. very relaxing.. we just sat there for about 45 mins before heading to San Diego and made it there by 10:30 with no traffic jam at all.. enjoyed the shows especially the blue horizons!

We left San Diego around 3:00 and thought we may get stuck in traffic but again no traffic at all.. we were back in LA around 5:15.. decided to take a nap at the hotel and we ended up sleeping for couple of hours only to wake up tired :D Had dinner at The World's Famous Grill in Bell.. husband had their "the famous" burger and I had chicken burger.. his was finger licking good..we also had chili cheese fries and I have to admit never and ever before I had eaten such delicious fries!!! We loved the meal so much that we packed some for our flight home.. yep we boarded the plane with our burgers :D I highly highly highly recommend that place if anyone visits LA!

so yeah we had plans to go to rodeo drive and at least visit the long beach but didn't get time just because we were exhausted and decided to call it a night night around 9:00pm!!!

and we are back in this dark n gloomy new england.. I miss california and I usually don't say that for many places!! :-(

Next time, we are going to CA for at least a week just to relax n explore more!!

and this may not be related to LA review but this was our first time car rental with Alamo (we always had hertz for some weird reasons) and LOVED their service.. they didn't push us for any insurance (we only took the minimum one) and there was no cost for an additional driver so husband and I could switch whenever needed!!!

and La Quinta Inn near the LAX is great too.. best hotel mattresses I have ever slept on!!!

alright thats all.. can't wait to go back to Cali!!! I miss the sun so much :-(

Re: LA

LAX car rentals, all of them, are very easy going and quite cheap if you compare them with any other big metro of USA

Re: LA

oh really??? no wonder I was surprised!!!

Re: LA

Now i feel like visiting CA too :(
