Example, if someone has a certain idea about himself (i.e. a dude thinks he is handsome, hot shot etc etc) , while others think he is so-so, the dude has a Khush Fehmi.

Another example: if you think that someone is harsh, rude arrogant etc etc.. but after a while you understand that you were wrong and that person is actually a nice person: Ghalat fehmi ( door ho gayi)

It does not matter who these are about.

Khush Fehmi **is just a form of Ghalat Fehmi in which the person gets a **wrong but positive thinking about any matter, human, language, culture, land/country or object.

Example: My dad's car is the best in neighborhood.
(But to call it Khush Fehmi, there has to be another better car in neighborhood to make it a wrong assumption)

Ghalat Fehmi is a general term. It can be positive or negative.

Example: My dad's car is the wrost in the neighborhood.
( But to call it Ghalat Fehmi there has to be even worse car in neighborhood)
