The Islamic calendar started from the Hejaz. The Saudis simply conquered it in 1924.

Can you tell me from which country the Islamic calendar started from? Perhaps all time zones should have their own version of the Islamic calendar...

No this is not the case. Only in Pakistan (whole of the muslims world) due care of sighting of moon taken place. If you look at this website (originates from Jordan) you can clearly see that moon even was not possible to be seen by naked eye even from KSA on 12.09.2007.

You live in UAE? 29th shaban was on tuesday there. Moon was not seen over there. 30th shaban was on wednesday. We know that when it is 30th day, everyone sees it (jum-e-ghafeer). Did you see it by yourself on 30th shaban?
