Re: Kon abhi tak baaloin pe taail lagatah hai!!

u know ur naani was right n so was my mom.I hav forgotten my weekly routine of oiling my head n now no matter how many moisturizers i use my hair r baaaaaaaaddddddd.I'm thinking to start doing it again.

Re: Kon abhi tak baaloin pe taail lagatah hai!!

I want to start again too...but then end up tons of shampoo trying to rinse every bit of it out...and that effects my lowlights a lot..

Re: Kon abhi tak baaloin pe taail lagatah hai!!

I don't remmeber the last time I did.
It does take a lot of shampooing to take it all out.
Wese bhi who needs oiling these days when we got straighteners.
and more. :D

Re: Kon abhi tak baaloin pe taail lagatah hai!!

i do it everytime before i shampoo. i miss the maalish my grandmother would do for me though :( that was heavenly.

Re: Kon abhi tak baaloin pe taail lagatah hai!!

i think its been ages i ever put oil in my hair......!!

i've seen people who do it regualarly and have great hair...and then also people who do it and do not. have healthy hair.....so dont know how much it is really effective....!

Re: Kon abhi tak baaloin pe taail lagatah hai!!

not weekly.. but I tend to do it twice on monthly basis
and my mother in law do my maalish :D

Re: Kon abhi tak baaloin pe taail lagatah hai!!

..........and i know people who put thel on hair and then keep it there, they dont wash it off! infact they put thel on after a shower!

Re: Kon abhi tak baaloin pe taail lagatah hai!!

my mum used to do it for me weekly and then she'd even wash my hair!! i miss mommy :/
she's in dubai now so i guess i'll have to wait until she comes for my wedding and then ask her to do it haha

Re: Kon abhi tak baaloin pe taail lagatah hai!!

Hav u tried hot oil.I used to use mustard oil.put it in microwave for like20-30 secs n then massage hair.take shower after an hr or so.it used to come off easily.I hav also read good reviews abt Tresmmes hot oil treatment.havn’t tried it yet though.

puts her hand up…i dooooooooo:clown:

Re: Kon abhi tak baaloin pe taail lagatah hai!!

i've used V05 hot oil... but i found that my hair was kind of still oily afterwards - it just wouldnt come off properly even after two washes. its super easy to use though!

Re: Kon abhi tak baaloin pe taail lagatah hai!!

I do before I wash my hair. Sometimes I do it the night before cause my hair is so thick. It doesn’t look greasy … well I hope it doesn’t! :cb: … I use Ojon oil from Sephora. That stuff is heavenly.

Re: Kon abhi tak baaloin pe taail lagatah hai!!

actually my hair is so dry that i put use some baby oil after i shampoo...its smells nice and my hair isnt dry...when i straighten my hair it looks sleek and shiny....but not too much oil though, dont want to be looking like this punjabi girl that was in my elementary class...hehe

Re: Kon abhi tak baaloin pe taail lagatah hai!!

would like to do so, but i'm never at home for long - wouldnt dream of goin outdoors wid a greasy head, but i think d last time i used oil on hair was when i was on sick-leave pampering myself at home, bout 2yrs ago..

Re: Kon abhi tak baaloin pe taail lagatah hai!!

i love hte smell of bio-amla :jano:

But I keep forgetting. and my hair is already oily, teh day after a shampoo the roots get greasy but the ends are dry. kya karoon :teary2:

Re: Kon abhi tak baaloin pe taail lagatah hai!!

^ coconut oil would help

Re: Kon abhi tak baaloin pe taail lagatah hai!!

I just used almond oil night before yesterday. Ofcourse I washed it out after a couple of hours. I think less hair falls out after using almond oil. I love oil massages and mum usually gets the honour to do it for me:D

Re: Kon abhi tak baaloin pe taail lagatah hai!!

I use a mixture of coconut oil, mustard oil and olive oil...heat this concoction up in microwave for about 20 secs, apply it and then keep it on over night...i have found that regular use of oil ( it's recommended to oil your hair 2-3 times a week but i get time to do so only on weekends) keep hair healthy, shiny, bouncy, and flexible...It also helps stopping minor hair loss...I have observed if 3-4 weeks go by without my using oil, my hair texture gets rough and lusterless and start falling like there is no tomorrow

Re: Kon abhi tak baaloin pe taail lagatah hai!!

Also, my khala has beenusing a mixture of good quality almond oil, castor oil, olive oil and mustard oil...and it has made a visible difference...the hair strands are thick, luminous and bouncy...the volume too has increased a good deal ...
