I usually give quick kiss on lips to my niece and nephew. They are just 4 or 3 yrs old. and no its not some french kiss type.. its just a quick kiss......
and yes when they will be grown up (means after few years) i will definitely give them kiss on cheeks and then forehead only. but now i can kiss them anywhere on their face and head and it gives me a really different feeling like I am kissing my own children.

Alright so I know all white ppl kiss their children on the lips, but I've recently seen desi ppl do it more and more, and honestly I find it reallyyy awkward, it makes it real uncomfortable for me....I guess with the whole thing where kissing on the lips in public is such a taboo in our culture is probably the reason for my awkwardness...honestly even when I see white ppl doing it I don't like it....what do u guys think??? Do u guys also find it awkward to see desi parents giving their kids a peck on the lips??
Well u find this awkward and it makes u uncomfortable coz
1. u have a sick mind
2. u have dirty mind
3. u haven't see two guys kiss yet, once u see that, meaning of awkward and uncomfortable will change for u and u wont find little things awkward and uncomfortable anymore. :)

this is such a weird post, why is that awkward or disgusting?! you saw someone kissing THEIR child on the lips. I think its lovely!! I kiss my brother who is 6 on the lips and have done since he was born. I'm sure as he gets older I'll stop but there is nothing awkward about it. I'm sure I will kiss my own kids on the lips too. I think you find it weird cause you find kissing your hubby suffocating aswell??

Notice how married couple or parents' (except Hareem's) view is different on kissing their kids on lips vs. people with no kids. You'll change your opinion once you have kids. I used to think the same way. I kiss my baby now but I do know that its just natural that as they grow you stop doing that.. at least in our culture.

I have a four year old niece, a one year old niece and a 5 month old nephew. I kiss them all on the lips. There is nothing odd about it.
They are babies and to even think about it in such a way is actually a bit odd to me.

Notice how married couple or parents' (except Hareem's) view is different on kissing their kids on lips vs. people with no kids. You'll change your opinion once you have kids. I used to think the same way. I kiss my baby now but I do know that its just natural that as they grow you stop doing that.. at least in our culture.
I don't think I said yuck to kissing babies...I said I kiss my 3 years old on lips. I don't kiss my 5 and 7 year old boys because I think they're not really babies anymore. In fact, my 7 years old acts like more like a 10 year old. I do kiss them on cheeks or forehead.

I think it should be fine if women do it, up to a certain age like hareem said, (women also kiss eachother on the lips without it being queer), I dont know, i'm not married, dont have kids, so I dont know if i'll kiss the lips or not, but cheeks, sure, but heres an interesting fact, anthropoligists believe that the open mouth kissing evolved from the mother chewing the food for her offspring :)

Off topic but i am gona try this.... I am gona make a hat of water millon sitting at my dinning table, and see if it fits me. If it doesnt am gona give it to my boxer kitty. ALSO why does Your cat has mustache like pakistani men ?

so if lips are ok then why not their bum as well since it is just another part of your liltle baby.....
and why stop kissing after certain age..... why it would be akward since this is Your baby and will always be...
i wonder Where our culture encourge kissing and stop kissing after certain age????????
