So is that the approach people take these days? They don’t like the daughter in law that they chose themselves, so they kill her, and then say “Oh I don’t know what happened”?
This is pathetic. Please read the first story. And judging by the wedding jora this girl is wearing, and I KNOW this is somewhat superficial, I don’t think that this family is some poor ghareeb family. I’m estimating middle or upper class.
hello? the girl had cuts on her nose and cheeks and its obvious she died of suffocation...
seems like an honor killing to me. ofcourse my guess is as good as anyone's but the fact that hubby didnt pay any attention to her and she was mysteriously talking to someone on the phone........in-laws obviously pissed at her acting that way.
However, the article has failed to establish why they would have murdered her and if they are even the ones to have committed this crime. Yes, maybe they teased her and her husband wasn't home much, but that is where the facts seem to end. She was obviously scared, but what exactly happened to scare her? We don't know. There are more pieces to this story that are missing.
Blitz, ethnicity has nothing to do with it. This is a cultural problem that seems to be prevalent all over South East Asia. Leave the ethnic blame game out of this thread.
i'll withhold my comments till we have an autopsy. The fact that they got rid of all servants after the wedding speaks volumes of their mentality though.
Reading stories liek this ticks me off soooooo much.. friggin Y^(&^&(^&*^9.. ugh im soo madddddddd
I hope the bhuriya rots in jail hopefully someone will come n smother the crap outta her. Hell, she has daughters of her own, Im sure justice is around the corner somewhere.
It would be a good thing if the investigators could get the phone records....see exactly how long and with whom this girl was conversing. Perhaps she was missing her mom and her old home and so calling alot. Or could be something darker....OR could be that the in-laws made it all up. Phone records would tell much...
Even if she was having an affair, it doesn’t mitigate the severity of the crime. (There’s nothing pointing to that direction anyways.) Yes, it would be good to know if there was some other shady character involved. Getting phone records is usually no problem.
The areas mentioned in the report are among the best areas of Lahore. So both families involved are probably upper class. The investigation/forensic teams call it homicide. So I would also call it homicide. Her inlaws could be involved. Let’s hope justice prevails.
All I know is that she deserved to live, and if anyone killed her s/he should get the just punishment.
Blitzkrieg, I quickly went through your message before it was removed. For me, it wasn't provocative enough to elicit an immediate response. Hope you read this before it vanishes. I won't post in this thread any more.
All I want you to know is that I suffer from no complex about myself or anything associated with me. I'm not so shallow as to hide behind ethnicity, nationalities or political affiliations.
Those who continue to focus on only one ethnicity/one nationality while talking about women related crimes are the hypocrites of the highest order. They exploit women; they do not help them. For naive people, seeing through these people might be difficult. It doesn't take long to figure out whether a poster wants a productive discourse or is only interested in mud-slinging/point-scoring/propaganda.
I can start *myriad *threads about people from other areas/ethnicities/countries. And the facts are not flattering at all for anyone, especially in south asia.
Another thing that evades me is why people who relish every chance to badmouth Pakistan with sweeping generalizations, are so worried about each and every crime in a city that's far more peaceful than their own cities.
Crime will always be there. Instead of mouthing off on internet forums, people who're angered by this sort of stuff should actually do something about it.
I dunno why people focus on the single loop step. Stop POSTING stupid articles like this. It just doesn't happen in Pakistan, it happens everywhere. The west, south, and yes in Antarctica too.
Take the double loop approach, and lets get rid of the root cause of this.
Whoever committed the murder, Allah judges him in the afterlife.
