Rape is like getting your ‘fix’ or fulfilling your ‘kink’ that usually incurs when mental condition is sporadic and every thing seems to be ‘under control’ including the ‘penalty’ of such heinous crimes that the mind conceives to be acceptable and pardonable.
The deaths by rape rage and man slaughter are the results of ‘struggle & resistance’ that empowers the mind to suggest that what was pardonable might not be pardonable after all if caught in that formidable condition.
The criminal nature yet again empowers the mind to suggest that evidence or the witness is now more dangerous then the ‘punishment’ it self.
We the the readers and debaters in this thread think otherwise as how this crime is a severest of them all and should not be taking place at all.
The problem in the west is based on the general attitude towards such incidents.
If it’s done to an under age person the percentage that would come forward to seek justice is very negligible and quite rightly considers it to be the waste of time.
In few cases more lucrative notions are present that might lure the offended to come forward for monetary gains hence creates a tabloid of an unfolding story that might have taken place way back in the history.
Despite this there are some loud voices heard and the media has covered them in their usual fanfare style killing the main purpose for such braves voice to come forward in the first place. To make the society aware of the injustice and crimes that take place and the sex offenders are pointed out.
The nature of such crime in our society and culture is based on the fact that in some cultures in Pakistan are are still treating female gender as worse than domestic animals and few of the reasons are based on some Islamic believes as well as the cultural taboos that usually are the basis of misquoted interpretations and falsified beliefs and examples.
The punishments and the unequivocal rights for self defense or the rights to accuse the male offenders are often suppressed and quashed before they become a major scandal.
But some courage’s women have now come forward to claim their rightful place in the justice system and voice their tragedies and concerns.
The west still stays numb on such issues unless ‘gains’ are seen and options weigh in.
If not all then some of the these issues are directly related to say the least as to why the mind conceives the idea that ‘It’s alright to molest a weaker gender’
