3.5 million is the actual cost what geo paid for this film to buy it off shoman.
and just cos there newcomers doesnt mean they come cheap, iman ali was obviously the most expensivest actor there and it was her first film.

If the movie made it to the theaters in the U.S on time, it would have doubled in revenues. I would have spent the money and watched it in the theaters instead of downloading it from some place.
Will it ever be in the theaters here?

I agree with Asif. I think they are making a big mistake, a huge blunder, by not releasing this movie in US/UK. The sooner they release it here, the better, coz otherwise public interest will decrease if they take too long.

I bought the pirated version this past sunday from a videostall at Pak day parade in NY. Most of the stalls were sold out - each said they had over 50 copies - I haven't come around to watching it yet, lent it to my uncle. I hope the video quality is good.

Here are some of the critical points (supliment to my earlier reservation which holds true) and flaws in this movie and its promotion.
More than half of the movie is in english, and there are no urdu subtitles.
Majority of population in can not understand english. So the bulk of the message is not delivered. Few of the scienes of treatement of Shaan in FBI interogation cell are worth listening. Specially the one where FBI agent asks him about Taweez. Shaan tells him that it is in arabic he can read it out but can not understand it. At which, the agent ridicules him by saying must be quite an effort to be actually able to ‘read’ something with out getting to know its meaning. At which shaan has no explaination to offer any says it sounds absurd but thats the way it is in pakistan. It is the dilema of Muslims that they are taught parroting and not comprehension.
The movie, despite being brilliant in all technical aspects, is very cruel. It is serious and sad. There was a dire need of comic relief and healthy dose of humour in this otherwise hard-core movie. Specially the ending, though it was on positive note, still it was sad. It should have been lighter and sublime to cheer up the audience.
The music was extra-ordinary and astounding. All the songs fitted so well into movie, they were fantastically composed and sung. two thumbs up and two hatts off to all the singers. Special praise for Ahmad Jahanzeb for singing that classical song so well and so melodiously.
The movie is not released in US and UK. Major loss of revenue.

I like the movie. Ofcourse better than any pakistani movie I've seen before. Ending could've been a little better. Seemed to me that ending was a bit hasty. Songs are FANTASTIC. Direction is AWESOME. I didn't know that Shaan could act this good. I think, credit goes to the director.
On occasions, it seemed a little low budget movie. But ,all in all an A+ movie. Must watch!!!

btw one of my cousin told me DVD is available on desi stores. I don’t rent movies so I can not confirm it.

shan is a very good actor . has always been extraordinary. find him at par with hollywood actors and definietly the best film actor in the subcontinent.

nice movie i saw it this weekend it came out n da print was okay too .. very well madee iman ali every one shan looked gud n acted preety nice too i luved it !! nicee
