We have to say Assalam O Alaikum will give you 10 when we meet or leaving.

Assalam o Alaikum wa rahmatullah will give you 20 naikiaan

Assalam o Alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatahu is the best will give you 30 naikiaan

Now pick which one you like.

Allah is the word from Allah and khuda is creation of humans for fake gods as far as I know so I think better to use Allah Hafiz.

ive been saying Khuda Hafiz all my life but have heard some people(quite religious types) say that Aslaam alaikum is what should be said.

i say salamua alaikum in conversation but salams in email/texting etc...

and i always say Allah hafiz because khuda ek hi hai and that is ALLAH so no point in saying khuda hafiz... ALLAH HAFIZ! or when i am with arabs etc i say fee iman allah and when i am with punjabis i say rab rakha...

Which sounds the best? Wouldn't that vary widely? Use whatever sounds good to you.

Say Khudai Pa Amaan instead of any of them!

Or Fi Amanullah

Actually always say Asalaamalaikum in either greeting or leaving.

NO, its not strange. Khuda Hafiz sounds like Good Office if you hear it being said quickly...especially the way desies say it...swallowing half the word.

Regardless, I think people should try to say the whole word: AssalamuAlaikum and Allah Hafiz.

RH has some good suggestions too.

This lady told me one time that Khuda Hafiz isn`t appropriate because really it is Allah who is the Hafiz so we should say Allah Hafiz. :halo:

Anyway, salaamualaikum is probably the best - Prophets way. However all of them sound good - cant pick and chose :slight_smile:

While in school, an arabian guy who had more knowlege about Islam than me had asked me to say Allahhafiz instead of Khudahafiz. He said there's no such thing/word as Khuda in Arabic; so also always say Allah instead of Khuda. That's what I have been doing ever since. I don't know how true it is, but I personally don't find anything wrong with it.

I used to say Khuda Hafiz.. I dont even know when that changed into Allah Hafiz automatically.. It's been years now..!
