I am new to this forum and I am a bride to be in Feb 2012, Inshallah… I need help in almost all categories. My wedding is going to get arranged in Khi, as all of our family is there but I live in UAE (these dayz in Khi for my wedding shopping n other stuff) and my husband to be is also in Sharjah… So advices please that what should i include in my dowry?
Like do we need to buy kitchen stuff from khi? and what about electronics and furniture etc? as in Dubai i only think IKEA is a good option but furniture there especially bedroom decor does not appeals me a lot. But furniture here in Khi espeacially in Nursery area and in Habitt… is so superb yaar!!! But shippment to UAE will be very high So are there any places in UAE where we can find alike furniture but at afforadble cost?
Also please let me know the good places in khi from where we can get good bridal dresses at reasonable cost? and what is an approximate cost of a not too heavy bridal dress these days?
Also I would love if u please let me know the good venues in Khi?
I dont know much about UAE but you can go to Gul Plaza in khi for your kitchen shopping, like dinner sets and metallic utensils as they are very neccessary if you are about to run a seperate household.
You can go to Rabbi Centre Tariq Road for you bridal dress or at Mehboob Cloth Market at Saddar. You will have to do a lot of searching there for good dresses but you will find one at affordable cost.
I think these days 50k to 70k is an appropriate amount of bridal dress. may be. I am not too sure.
For venues, I dont know where you live so there are lot of options accorading to your convienience. Like the Palm at Clifton, Sadabahar at Shaheed e Millat Road and also Casamento in North Nazimabad, Sadequain in Gulshan.

what i hav to purchase from khi are all clothes and just clothes :). I visited Rabbi yesterday but didn't find n e thing interesting. Donno much about Mahboob.
I have heard about Jhumar lawn in North and I am planning to go for it. Does someone have any pictures of it?

Cisters quoted me 24k for makeup and rukaiya 18k
not sabs, i visited Najlas and like the makeup so i booked it without thinking any thing else as time is passing quickly and i dont want to make myself more confuse in search of MUA !

For loose material clothing Ashiana, gulf and gizri is best. for kaam kehkasha. for bridal go for some good home base designers. some are very good replicates top designers stuff. of check out,Jabeen's or shakeel at tariq road. My dear Bridal dress would not come less than 100'000
venues: carlton hotel defence, golf club sadabahar, Imperial at 2 talwar clifton are good
