Re: Khatti's Kitchen Korner

khattichic, how do we make tamaatar ka kaat from scratch (raw tomatoes) ??

Re: Khatti's Kitchen Korner

^main bhi yahi jananaa chahta hun

Re: Khatti's Kitchen Korner

I make tala hua ghosth exactly like you do except I add more oil so my ghosth is crispier and I add one medium pyaaz (fried) but the masala wala oil is my fave part. Can u post a recipe for khatta palak??

Re: Khatti’s Kitchen Korner

If only someone could make all this food for me apnay pyaray pyaray haathon kay saath. :chilly:

Re: Khatti’s Kitchen Korner

Devi…yea, I grew up with the tala hua gosht more on the crispy side as well, lakin pyaare humaray patidev prefers it with a little chew… i’ve never seen pyaaz in tala huwa gosht, but then again, we don’t use bone in bakray ka gosht either, so whatever works! and yes..ufff…the masala wala oil is to die for!!! I am forbidden from putting the degchi anywhere near the sink once I dish it up, lest any paani hit the degchi ghalti say…he likes to put khuska (plain chanwal, lol) in it first to soak up all that lucious masala…then he moves on to eating from a plate like a civilized human

khatta palak… :hmmm: elaborate please???

Re: Khatti’s Kitchen Korner

i’ll cross the pond for you, billi ji :flowers:

Re: Khatti's Kitchen Korner

Re: Khatti's Kitchen Korner

^^^haan meri amma, maaloom hai mareku. bas tora aur intizar karo...gharwalay sab nani ammi ke saat busy hain..she's back in the hospital...I need to get some clarifications on both recipes....I'll post both soon...pakka waada!

Re: Khatti’s Kitchen Korner

Cool, thanks. Hope she’s okay/recovers soon. :hugz:

Miss khatti ... Khatta palak or ambaare ki bhaaji is my favee!!! My abu's khala grew her own ambara in her house in VA and se made it in chane ki daal ghosth and it was the best meal everrrrr!!!

For the tala ghosth, I use bakre ka ghosth with haddi for that extra chiknai and i also used to clean the dekhchi with white rice!! So good!!

Re: Khatti's Kitchen Korner

man i love putting white rice in the pan and soaking up the masala of salans nom nom nomm

Re: Khatti’s Kitchen Korner

I go to Zaiqa just for their Chicken 65, will definitely try this :k:

Re: Khatti’s Kitchen Korner

Omg girl, Zaiqa Chicken 65 is the best!!! Love it!! This recipe comes pretty close I’ve been told!

Re: Khatti's Kitchen Korner

Astagfirullah !!!

@khatti: Can you make it all?

Re: Khatti’s Kitchen Korner

ummm…yes…

with the exception of two or three pics pulled from google chacha for examples sake, those are all made by yours truly…

ambaare ki bhaji!!! of course!!! the “khatta palak” through me off cuz my saas (who is memon) makes a khatta palak which is different…maine kabhi khud say banaiya nahin hai…laikin khaiya zaroor hai!!! :rotfl:

Re: Khatti's Kitchen Korner

KC..the chicken 65 looks very yummy. Will try and report back over the weekend..
