Does the dominant flavours of food in a particular culture represent behavior of people belonging to that culture?
In Sindhis, they have medium spicy foods, which probably represent simplicity and moderate nature of society as a general. I remember my grandparents used to have saada chawal / chapati with milk in night. There used to only one dish in lunch mostly vegetables and Daals.
norht indians use less chilly powder as compared to maharashtrians…
in same manner i see north indians and punjabis from both side of borders can consume more butter and ghee than rest of indians..thats my observation not a fact so i may be wrong…
Once our phuppi told us that our Hindu neighbors used to serve people on their weddings with meethe chawal and daal and we were all like  because normally in Sindh, we don’t mix meetha with namkeen. My sister watches meat recipes on many channels, but she doesn’t try most of them because they use milk in those recipes.
