this is khalistan movement not khalsa movement. Khalsa movement is the one launched by GuruGobindSingh while Khalistan movement is one "Jiska nehru ki laundiya ne band baja diya tha:D"

Yes I confused Khalistan with Khalsa movement. So what was behind this Khalistan movement. Was that a separatist movement raised due to economic reasons (I mean less representation of Sikhs in jobs, etc).

I’m sure no one heard it but luckily i heard it but unfortunately couldn’t get the proof with myself as that person refused to give me the proof

It was pure political reason of certain groups, to this day, Sikhs are overrepresented in every section of society. Indira initially used this for dislodging Akalis from Punjab politically and when the movement turned violent and against Indira she destroyed it. Having dictatorial attitude Indira was smarter than Emperor Aurangzeb:D
