key logger

Re: key logger

Every time you use Robform or roboform2go, it asks you for the password FIRST time. It puts a tool bar on your browser window (very useful) which allows you to automatically login to various websites without having to remember username or login. It can even generate complicated long passwords for you.

It also has a "safe notes" feature which you can use to jot down important information to remember. All this is protected by your choice of AES or Blowfish etc. You can save your contact list, your logins, your profile data, notes, and bookmarks.

After you've entered the password first time then you can freely use it. However, after a certain time of inactivity (which you can set under options) it locks down again and you'd have to enter password once again to use it. The idea is that, say, you went away from your computer, roboform will automatically lock down after configurable period of time and only you can unlock it with the password.

The main thing with using roboform is to make sure to use long passwords. Actually, as a rule of thumb 14 or more characters long passwords with combination of numbers and capital characters are pretty impossible to crack (it will take more than 100 years to crack it with most powerful computer available) so you can be sure your information is safe if it's stolen or lost.

To add another layer of security, I use sandisk cruzer usb which comes with U3 installed. So whenever I plug that usb in, I've to enter a password to get even folder level view/access in win explorer. Once I enter U3 password then it automatically starts roboform2go and I've to enter its password to use it. This two password protection makes it absolutely impossible to steal information or crack it.

Roboform is the most useful software I've ever used. It's up there with sliced bread for being the awesome thing.
