The launch of India’s heaviest communication satellite has failed after the rocket carrying it veered off course and exploded. The Insat-4C satellite weighed more than 2,000kg and was expected to significantly enhance India’s telephone and business communications. It came a day after a test-fire of India’s longest-range nuclear-capable ballistic missile ended in failure. The Agni-III surface-to-surface missile crashed into the Bay of Bengal. Television pictures showed the Insat-4C satellite being launched from the Sriharikota Space Research Centre in the southern state of Andhra Pradesh. But seconds after lift-off the satellite’s launch vehicle veered sharply off course before disintegrating into a ball of fire and smoke. Debris from the satellite fell into the Bay of Bengal. Emergency crews were immediately alerted. It is still not clear what caused the malfunction. “A mishap happened in the first stage of the separation and it will be some time before we know what went wrong,” Madhavan Nair, the mission chief, told reporters. “We have to analyse the sequence of events to see what happened.”
Setback
India has been hoping to break into the lucrative commercial satellite launch market, and correspondents say Monday’s failure represents a setback for its ambitions. The country is one of the world’s largest operators of communication satellites and the disaster follows 12 successful launches. Monday’s launch was also supposed to set the stage for an Indian mission to the moon. On Sunday, the Agni-III surface-to-surface missile was test-fired off the coast of Orissa state but crashed into the Bay of Bengal without reaching its target. Analysts say it has a range of more than 3,000km (1,865 miles) and could hit targets in China.
^^^ why tried and tested rockets from Russia fail to launch. and if they are indian, why they are exactly similar to Russian rocket launch. more training required to launching such machine.
The Russians have been actively involved in helping India to prepare for the launch of the GSLV, which will use a Russian cryogenic stage.
Several engineers from Russia have been stationed at SHAR since May. As per the 1993-94 commercial agreement signed by the ISRO and Glavkosmos, the Russian engineers are here to help with the cryogenic stage.
Are you telling me, that I will have to devise some other ways other than name calling to bash these people? Like posting maligning threads about pakistan and islam and allah? I am sorry captain1, I am not taught to do that.
And I think you yourself are grown up enough to understand that name calling is not the only way which is being used here by your countrymen(not all of them, but a select few) to bash India and hinduism. You could be an even better moderator if you start moderating completely neutrally.

I was not looking for a witty reply here.
I do not go to other forums and I do not care about other forums. I care about the forum on which I post.
And before I decide to enter into a discussion with you on this, post the links to my posts where I have not posted neutrally or against Islam or Pakistan without a reason.
First of all you need to ask yourself, what is the need for "bashing"? Secondly, name calling is prohibited here, we don't want to convert Gupshup into street-wrestling site, its a forum so everyone can enjoy/post here.
Why don't you start from countering a post instead of countering a poster?

There are almost equal number of "Indian" posters who ridicule Pakistan, Islam etc. in their own ways and there are nicer Indians as well. You can join the bandwagon you like, remember "a man is known by the company he keeps", but I will still not allow someone name calling other guppies, religion, race :)
I didn’t accuse you of any lack of neutrality (in fact I hardly know you on this forum). However, I urge you to go to other forums (Indian and international) and read what your compatriots have to say about Pakistan in general and Pakistani missile technology in particular. Or just read the posts of other Indians here as Captain advised. You would find the same flaw in your countrymen. Why become so angry if we want to study the link between Russian technology and indigenous Indian missile and satellite program? Indians do that all the time for our missile program.
And If I rememer correctly, Captain (or some other mod) has locked a number of threads in recent past that were targeting India. I don’t know why they did that, but I respect their decision. I wish threads started by Indians targeting Pakistan were also locked.
Instead of laughting at this, the paks need to look at them selves. Pakland is away behind India in the space technology field.
Pakland need to develop its own space industry by importing foreign technology, instead of pointing to india's failures, which is in fact way ahead of us.
Why don't you start from countering a post instead of countering a poster?

Because the intention of the poster does not allow me to go into a meaningful discussion on the topic.
Bhai we are not denying Pakistan is way behind in technology.
We are just posting a news from India, like any other news from any other part of the world.
We are just targettting India’s g r a n d i o u s obcessive and proud statements about its missile technology. Indians always target Pakistani missile capabilities. Now tell us why the successive rockets, on two consecutive days failed. One fell in the sea and the other swirlled in air and then exploded like a cracker?
