That is why there is parliament and people of Pakistan who will vote to hold these people accountable. Its not job army to hold them accountable, its job of people of Pakistan. Btw, all politicians get rich when in power and especially (in the case of US when they leave politics & become lobbyists). This phenomenon is not unique to Pakistan; it happens both in developed and developing countries. People with access to power tend to do well financially b/c of connections & not necessarily b/c of corruption.

There is a legitimate way of becoming rich and nobody would object if the uses legitimate means. I live not very far from the PM residence in Defence Lahore.. and I have seen his/family life style before and after becoming PM.

It’s my money.. I pay the taxes. If this money ends up in someone’s personal account in Switzerland.. I have all the rights to raise the voice. I am not saying the legal loopholes are not there for the President to claim immunity.. may be he has.. but I have a right also to raise my voice on moral grounds as I am getting robbed.. President Zardari has 1.8 billion dollars cash in his personal bank accounts in Switzerland. There was a case in Pakistani courts against this fellow for the “possession of wealth beyond his means”. After the NRO this case was taken back.. and now the govt. is saying that the case can not be reopened because the President has immunity. May be it’s true and legally the case can not be restored.. but I will continue to raise my voice because I have been robbed by this man..
