Yes, it involves tangible parts
some of the times you use it yourself without holding the "tangible" part. but most of the time you see others "holding" it

ok first here is what was already summarized
Summary so far - over to the next person ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ It's not a consumer product, it is not used for medicinal purposes, it is a technology that has been around for more than 20 years and it is found in most homes.
It is not used for entertainment purposes, it is almost always found in the bedroom "too" which would tell me it's found outside the bedroom also. Part of it is powered by electricity/battery and it is NOT a clock/alarm clock.
Its not a safety device nor any energy generating equipment. We use it outside the bed room even if its a bright and sunny day. Its "real" use is outside of bedroom.
Not discovered by William Gilbert. You may have it on you but it was not meant for YOUR use.
now this is what we know more, its nit a wrist watch, its not a satellite communication or any other communication device for that matter, it has tangible parts, its not a mechanical product

What if it's perfume, essence, aroma of some kind? It's also an invention because one has to go through extraction and distillation (etc) to produce essence.

and most of us if just look around, we can spot it present at multiple places around us!
