wait wait wait, i didnt say "you" hold it for someone else to use it. i just said most of the time you see others holding its tangible parts, however, its very much possible that you may have one on you somewhere!
and most of us if just look around, we can spot it present at multiple places around us!
I wanted to guess credit card or debit card, but given that it's used in the bedroom and accroding to the hint, if I look around, I should see some examples as well, that seems unlikely.
For a camera, given the hint that we should see multiple examples around us that seems unlikely.
