Tell me...which election did Mirwaiz Mohammad Farooq run in? The man was briefly used by Farooq Abdullah to gain credibility in the '83 elections, but he never abandoned his pro-Plebiscite stance. In any case, the man died a few months after the the start of the uprising, so he can hardly be considered one of the main leaders of the current movement.
As for the other three...I love how they now constitute *"Everyone that is part of the 'struggle'" *according to you.
Sure Mirwaiz was gullibale enough to have been to be used for 1983 elections ..... he did not know who Farooq Abdullah was and what he stood for.
Well of the 26 constituents of Hurriyat (whew) i was talking about the main players. Geelani , Lone brothers ( their father faught elections and they also feilded proxy candidates last time) Mirwaiz's father ..... Salahuddin .... Yasin Malik ... though only an election agent.
In Kashmir everyone is a leader ...... heard somewhere ... who is the leader of Kashmiri struggle like South Africa had Mandela, Palestine had Arafat or even India had Ghandhi ....... well in Kashmir we have a leader who likes to be called the Ghandhi of struggle, there are a couple who like to be called the Mandela of Kashmir and every second leader thinks of himself to be an Arafat.
Kashmiri's dont need leaders ...... they have had enough ... they need leadership which no one at this moment seems to command.
