Re: Karzai issues warning to Pakistan
When Musharraf was supreme ruler, Karzai never dared to issue any warning to Pakistan, but now under the new PPP govnt, not only does the US attack the FC, but even Karzai is bold enough to issue warnings.

It will be interesting when the new administration goes about doing this deed. When musharraf did so, (in fata and lal masjid) he was labeled as killing innocent pakistani citizens. I am seriously looking for results and I hope taliban salay bayghairats get a dent in their michief.
When Musharraf was the “supreme” ruler, US didn’t get noticed for bombardment like they have now under the new Govt., so they’re tripping on jalapenos because the new Govt. didn’t hush-hush and take the blame like Musharraf did. Actually by making it News, new democratically-elected Govt. has kind of embarrased U.S. and made them accept for the FIRST TIME that what they did by invading Pakistani airspace is not acceptable.
You and your rhetoric ![]()
** and to name NWFP as Afghaniaa...... **
You are misinformed. The new name is Pakhtoonkhwa. Not Afghaniaa....
And when Pakistan tries to seal border the same dog barks… whats the solution? Is Pakistan supposed to take dictation from him?

Dude, don't forget Karzai foaming his mouth in past, some people might be "afraid" of Musharraf but definitely not on international scene. If Karzai is barking again its not because of "weak" governance but he probably is counting on the bone US throws for him.
Re: Karzai issues warning to Pakistan
Karzai is just blowing some steam to make a point (lame i'd say) that he's the man in Afghanistan. The truth of the matter is, he's allowed to meet dignitaries and sign autographs, the big decisions are left for "others" to make.
US is now directly attacking Pakistani soldiers, which it never did before…everybody in thew world is now blaming Pakistan for not even trying to control terrorists in it’s own country.

Just comapre the new ambassador to the US (Haqqani) with the previous guy (Durrani), and you'll get your answer as to how weak this govnt is both internationally and domestically.

Is that how you evaluate weakness/strength?

All that happened in last 2-3 months only? Time to admit failures of Musharraf.

It's one way. But the real weakness is that we can't control the Taliban in our own country, allowing others to rightfully warn or threaten us. Mehsud has openly said that his forces attack inside Afghanistan and will continue to do so.

Have you been hibernating the last few years amigo? Pakistan has been blamed for all this since Musharraf took power (i'm not saying it's Because of him, but when you're in-charge you have to accept the package as a whole, the good and the bad) unfortunaly, Musharraf has had a lot of bad under his name by his unaccountable actions and undebated policies. It's all of that which gave rise to suicide bombings within Pakistan. Even under the previous Govt. Pakistan used to get the blame for being the hub of Terrorism (which i don't agree with entirely). The only difference then was that Musharraf would obey the orders coming from U.S. and cover for them when they fired and bombarded countless villages and killed civilians as well as some extreme elements, and Musharraf always managed to come on T.V. and own up to it and take the blame.
So for you to say that Pakistan is being blamed for all the mess around the world just recently is very wrong and ill-informed. I suggest you get your facts right.
Maybe you were comfortable with that, that as long as Pakistanis own up to it, even if it's not true, it give you some sense of relief. I see that as being dillusional to the reality and serving to degrade the soveriengty of Pakistan.

Karzai has been making these senseless statements since he was appointed as President by Bush. Either you had your ears closed or you are just trying to defend your illegal president asusual.
And when Pakistan tries to seal border the same dog barks... whats the solution? Is Pakistan supposed to take dictation from him?
Well, at least it is good to know that you understand Afghanistan's concerns vis a vis Taliban support in Pak.
I don't know if sealing border is an option keeping in mind difficult terrain. Pak wants to do it to strengthen the Durand Line vision. But as I said, this hardly will solve the infiltration problem.
All I know is that Pak can not make deals with violent Taliban fasadis.
Re: Karzai issues warning to Pakistan
Karzai can only invade his bedroom on his own. This is America talking folks.
Truth be told, we knew this was coming when terrorist thugs like Baitullah and co hold "press conferences" with dozens of journalists and openly threaten to invade Afghanistan. If some guy comes to my house and uses it to attack my neighbour, will my neighbour care who is firing before he fires back at my house?
We need to take control of our land or we face all sorts of these issues.
Karzai can only invade his bedroom on his own.
his wife controls that. his line of control ends at the pillow

There is support for Taliban in almost all ranks (some have negligible some have more), what we need as country is stop their support "officially" (whether some officers are doing it hidden or with support of some higher ups). There is lots of cleaning required but that does not mean Afghanistan itself is clean of sh!t, Afghanistan needs to wipe off all the opium fields which are supposedly providing financial support to Taliban. Does Karzai have balls to remove opium fields? I have zilch faith in his abilities.

You are talking to someone who thinks altaf isnt a convicted terrorist, I doubt his mind is ready to handle such a thing, yet.
