Karma's Awesome Service

Just a quick note, I’ve been working with Karma to finalize my order for my Valima and Mehendi Outfits (Polki Bridal in Pink and Mint Green) and Sangeet (in a Peshwaas with long sleeves).

I wanted to tell you all that if you’re looking for a reliable designer without going to the Motherland, they really seem like the way to go. Even if they are slightly above your price range, the service they’ll give you and the fact that you won’t have to spend thousands going to Pakistan alone will be cost saving.

I initially contacted Maheen directly on FB and she replied that day. She put me in touch with a girl who works there and she has been communicating with me regularly. She’s totally been guiding me, offering to mail sample fabrics and material and is helping me create my vision. I’m super impressed, considering I reached out to every other designer out there. The only other person that was as responsive was Mohd Mehdi, but I had called him too, which is completely different than working on e-mail.

Karma’s pretty effective over e-mail and is great for anyone who’s not going back to finalize their order. It’s pretty risky buying your wedding outfits from pictures! Eek.

Just an fyi…

Re: Karma's Awesome Service

thats pretty awesome! glad its going well, hopefully it stays that way.

Re: Karma's Awesome Service

Keep us updated on your orders hun! Would love to know how they turn out. I should be getting married soon, and don't fancy going back home JUST to purchase a bridal outfit, though I love the clothes there!!

Re: Karma's Awesome Service

yeh keep us updated, i always wanna order clothes from there, but am very hesitant cuz of all the horrendous stories we hear.

Re: Karma's Awesome Service

really? i'll keep you all posted! they want me to place the order sooner than later because i guess Oct- March is the worst time for them (wedding season in Pakistan). i'm going to place my order by the 1st week in August once I finalize everything.

i should get it by December-ish. keep your fingers crossed!

Re: Karma's Awesome Service

Is the Karma website down!? because everytime I try to access it, my browser says "page can not be displayed" :S

Re: Karma's Awesome Service

no its not down

Re: Karma's Awesome Service

remember everyone Karma's website had shaadi joras for $5000 or even $7000; well their web prices are back to normal basically in the $2-3000 range:)

Re: Karma's Awesome Service

i knw some of u might think this is a stupid question... but does the store actually has more designs to choose frm (bridal) ????

Re: Karma's Awesome Service

yes it does

Re: Karma's Awesome Service

The store has loads more stuff, and it's the newer designs.

My nikah outfit was from Karma. I live in the states. From the time i ordered it to the time i received it it was just about 2 months even though it was a really heavy outfit. They did charge me a little bit more for the speedy delivery, but it was worth it.

Re: Karma's Awesome Service

what's the online store web address again?

thanks

Re: Karma’s Awesome Service

Karma Collection

Re: Karma's Awesome Service

I spoke to a guy from Karma yesterday, and he said online orders usually take about 40-45 days, and apparently (not sure how true it is) the outfits are cheaper online then they are in the actual store......

Re: Karma's Awesome Service

well done, lady, i'm so excited to see your stuff!

Re: Karma's Awesome Service

the karma link isnt working for me :( !!

Re: Karma's Awesome Service

my friend is there right now and is getting her wedding and walima outfit from them =p lets see how it turns out when she gets it!

Re: Karma's Awesome Service

does anyone have complaints about karma's embroidery? someone was telling me the designs are really thick and the embroidery is not that fine. do other people agree? is Karma more about trend, or is the embroidery just as intricate as other brands?

i've only seen karma pink in person in jan '08 and was seriously underwhelmed by the work on the clothes.

i have to say that i've always had that feeling about their outfits though. especially when you hear about people buying lengha's for under 2lakh. intricate kaam + designer brand, you'd expect prices to be a lot more. you could say that their just being reasonably priced, or it could be that their kaam just doesn't cost that much to produce. and i think copies of karma outfits are the ones you hear most often about being better than the originals.
