sweet_girl, the wedding planners are pretty well known and I haven't heard about an incident where a planner has run away with the money. Talk to Kyran from Plan It. She is pretty quick to respond and really easy to talk to. A guppan, sonali_2009, had a really good experiance with Mrs. Zoreed Raza. You need to discuss everything with the planners before you agree to pay. Do contact multiple vendors so that you can compare their style and pricing.
I found more venues in the Clifton area. You need to contact them as I have no idea about the pricing.

Samhoda, Regent Plaza is pretty okay, I guess. I am not a fan of the place so can't say more.
SABS is still good if you like smoky eyes and nude lips and most guppans are quite satisfied with their work.
