Karachi Uncovered

hmmmm…so what ya guys say?

Part 1

Part 2

Re: Karachi Uncovered

I think that this documentary represents only a certain section of society, and that section of society was always like this: the so called 'liberal' and 'modern' elite class. The only difference is that now they openly display it in media, as opposed to a few years back.
I have lived in Karachi for a few months, and I have seen all type of people there: extremely liberal and modern ones, and their polar opposite exteremly conservative too. However, one should remember that if you travel just a little bit further into interior Sindh, it's a different story...so it's not as if life is very much different for the majority of Pakistani people.

Re: Karachi Uncovered

Hey nice to hear.. Just wondering

Re: Karachi Uncovered

I saw this back when it was first aired but then forgot about it. Loved part 2 with its bit on trucks and the art that goes with it. As for the 'oh look at me i dress expensive and slutty so i'm modern' people in the first part, they're kidding no one but themselves.

Re: Karachi Uncovered

*^^yeah ....... i truly love the truck art thing ........ the video gave whole new perspective to it
*

why do you like truck art?

**thats something ....... which is totally n purely "Paki"

Himmat hai tou pass ker .......... warna bardasht ker
**

i wont gonna lie, but when i discussed this with ppl in my surroundings they find truck art cheap and vulgar.

so i hire you to discuss about truct art infront of the western audience, are you willing to do that?

**no …

i m stag fright :bummer:

b/w the reason why famous W11 (bus) is in London … is cuz of its traditional art … which is totally unique …
