As Part of the India & Pakistan '07 season, tonite’s show was about Karachi, the host of the show goes on a journey to discover the cosmopolitan city of Karachi in Pakistan, as he discovers that being modern, does not mean being western.
Those who watched the documentary what did you think of it?
I watched it,…it was kind of interesting,…a lot of the people who featured in the show were talking about how they are representing their families and so they know they have to stay in limits :halo:
It was enlightening to see stuff from their perspectives…but at the same time…I dunno…I didn’t particularly enjoy the show - its too focussed on one group of people…those who are modernised, as it were…but what about the rest of Karachi’s population
All these British Born Pakistanis ...well, most of them...come from Pakistani trash clas [yep, theres trash everywhere] and tend to think of Pakistan along similar lines. Thats where the anchor of the show is coming from too.
These are NOT bakwas pics…the second you see above…or the middle one of the three on top—is of Freiha Altaf the famous publicist and event organiser of Pakistan…then we have the one and only HSY (Hasan Shehryar Yasin) who has purchased the copyrights of all the event pictures to be published in any magazine of Pakistan…with express rights and orders..that he must be found somewhere—with some top model. At bottom…he is seen with Vaneeza Ahmed (Vinny)…
Now let’s be very clear here—that we may joke and make wisecracks—but we must respect the entity of our country; PAKISTAN…hence certain remarks I see below and in other cages—leave a bad taste and should not be AND WILL NOT BE entertained. I am very very sensitive about my country and lets not talk odd about it.
