Karachi target killings: The solution

Re: Karachi target killings: The solution

The previous military operations were highly politicized and targetted one political entity. Whether you like Kayani or not, he does not have the same political ambitions as Musharraf. I am not here to place thr blame solely on one party (read the MQM) when you have gangs of ANP, PPP supporter roving about. This why a military operation that targets all of the armed factions is necessary.

In Karachi, a political solution WILL NOT bring a sustained peace, which is why a full scale operation followed by military occupation is necessary. The political wings of all parties should be permitted to be operational. I want to see what these parties do after they have been neutered.

You are incorrect in comparing Karachi to Baluchistan or Bangladesh where a systematic discrimination and was/is prevalent. In both places you had the average person politicized and against pakistan. In Karachi, the vast majority of people and even these political parties want to operate within the federation, which is why crushing their armed wings will ensure compliance.

Mark my words, the Military and/or Pakistan rangers will be deployed if things get bad to worse.
