thats the spirit .... its what you call having a catora of tea .. the desi way ... :D

and not just any tea, karrak tabahi qisam ki doodh patti, so strong that if u dont usually drink tea, u will be up for 36 hours :D as soon as the tea hits the mouth the brain leaps to attention 14 tabaq roshan ho jatay hain. :)

baita, if u have not had tea sitting on a manjhi at some dhabba ..tea served ina catora..piping hot where u pour it in a saucer and then drink it...then u have not had desi chai :D

I at one time 12 years ago used to live in Karachi ..untill we moved to Lahore … we still have family members there … but i ve not managed to go back to karachi again cos the relatives always make it first to lahore …and then we moved to UK … but shure do hope to go to Karachi again .. i was gona go this time i went to pakistan .. but even being there 3 months, too many masroofiyaats …

but wha i ve heard … its changed Alot .. so thanks once again for sharing this piece of info .. hopefully its all still valid …

:). I havent been to Karachi in since mid 90’s . My Abu worked there for couple of years and I have spent a summer there. I can imagine lots of changes there. I went to Lahore after a long time and I couldnt remember the streets ..it has changed so much

I have had some great bhunna gosht, daal, and for some odd reason the best qeema in teh world can be found at those hotels..folks tried to warn me that the qeema has all spare parts in it, but, hey as long as it tastes good, who cares :D

but :( cant for another damm six months ...

... you know the places where truckers stop at night to have tea ... thats the place to go .. to have your karak tea.... :D

dekhain ji, I just corrected something, there is no reason to take it personally. did you come up with the definition, no u did nto, so why take it personally. I even noted that the defintion is used incorrectly in many hotels in US as well. so its not about Pakistan, its about the incorrect usage of a term.
