This ignorant reply is another example of what a fool hatred can turn a man into. This stupid conspiracy theory has no basis at all. What influence does MQM have in Balochistan?
Gwadar port project was a pat project of Musharraf. He wanted the port to develop because Pakistan needs a second port. Chinese invested heavily in there. But it didn’t work out due to Baloch separatists and nationalists. They were weary of ‘outsiders’ (read Punjabis, Pashtuns, Karachiites, etc) coming to Balochistan and making Baloch there a minority.
What happens in Balochistan and Gwadar has absolutely nothing to do with MQM or Karachi.
In fact it is better for Karachi to have another port. Such a city will relieve some pressure of migration to Karachi. Karachi is not provided enough resources to adequately care for this huge rise in population every year.
The kind of ideas the poster above shows about MQM are absolutely unbelievable even for me. Even though I know a lot about Pakistan politics. But **this level of hatred is really alarming.

Ignorant people like this guy should also be reminded of the Zulfiqarabad project. People who opposed this new planned port city were not Urdu speaking people. Rather they were Sindhi speaking people and followers of Sindhi nationalist parties. Their premises was also the conspiracy theory that PPP wants to make a huge city in Sindh so that Karachi could be separated from Sindh. Height of hatred and stupidity.
Just like Baloch, opposers of Zulfiqarabad also maintain that outsiders will move to Sindh and make Sindhis a minority.
