alright its not something pleasant and would be very good if we all really could say we are pakistanis and move on.
i had similar experiences as kaleem but some of my best mates now are from karachi as well. they are pretty honest with me and according to them in karachi punjabis get the job and punjabis are always perferred so thus the hatred. it gets on your nerves and first year was absolute hellish every body (that is including my current mates)at that time had to tell me every time i open my mouth "your urdu is funny" dang i get it , now move on.
anything paindoo is labelled as punjabi including mushs's accent and still happens and its very over bearing.
may be karachi people had similar experiences with punjabis but i have had a rough time with karachi log so far. no hatred though, once u get to know them they are alot like any paki :D

You know, this thread was doing fine when people were telling their thoughts/experiences about this statement but now that you all have started this punjabis-are-better or vice versa nonsense, this is itching my hands and the lock is yelling "use me, use me"
I will say this: We are not Punjabis nor Karachites. We are Pakistani. If you don't let this nonsense go (one is better than the other), we will never progress as a nation. Changes start from one's ownself. EVERYONE has to change his/her attitude and love the other person for being a Pakistani, not a punjabi, urdu speaking, or pathan.
Please don't turn this thread into I-am-better-than-you type discussion because no one is perfect. Keep the emotions under control and have fun.
