i dont think that people did not realize it earlier, but purchasing power of other areas was low and it was tougher to get a reasonable ROI on fancy stuff with a large upfront capital investment

My favorite nihari spot is cafe zaiqa in nazimabad chorangi. Their dine-in experience is heavenly when you have nihari with magaz, nallee and tarqa along with garam garam naans and chilled pepsi. I like sabri a lot too, but prefer this one over all other places.
My second favorite is new sabri in lasbella.

so no one has told me why nihari is any worse then qorma for example. I mean yeah I can see in hyderabdai style maghaz nihari thatthe cholestrol is high, but in nihari u just use meat, is teh cut of meat a fatty cut?
Qorma mostly contains fat free meat (rookha ghosht) whereas nihari has got very fatty meat and if you add nalli or magazh, it is very much full of cholesterol.

CAFE ZAIQA...still stands tall..
It was our lunch hangout during our training days at Habib Bank...
which had its training centre right behind the restaurant...in Sept-1971.
In 2004 when I renovated my UBL's Nazimabad Branch...I arranged
lunch from CAFE ZAIQA...and specifically sat with owner's son
Raghib...who was a child then...during our lunch days.
Indeed..this restaurant has best food available and their best **dish**
has been KARAHI CHICKEN.

Javed Nihari is probably the only resturant in Karachi which closes on time. If you go there after 11 pm, you will find its shutter down.

nihari sabri ki tu bahot arsa hua ab tu woh baat nahin i used to live close to that area
hum nay jana chorh diya cuz uski quality kharab hogaye thee aksar tu sari hui dey deta tha
behraal javed ki nihari , zahid is ok .....main nay apni khala k yahan nihari khaye bahut tasty thee she told me nihari Inn ki hai

In Karachi, back in the day, the nihari at Sabri’s was legendary. That stuff is unreal, but should be had sparingly. It’s on Burns road. Because you know, after you eat that stuff and go to the loo, your ass be burnin’ mighty. You know, you be doing the tandoori two step all day after that, the Mexican Ole if you catch my drift yeah.

Hmmmm, NIHARI !!!
So all those scandals and Police Charges about using “Ghadaay ka Ghost and Bhains ka Ghost” being used in Nihari has no affect on Chuttkhooray taste buds. Now don’t tell me it was all false alarm.
