Nihari has always been a favourite dish of Karachi people. In my childhood there was that Bhooray Khan nihari in Liaqatabad. I think that was the most delicious nihari in town then. That shop went out of business in early 80’s.
Sabri and Waheed nihari houses at Burns Road were also making good business during the 80’s. In 90’s till now, Javed Nihari has become the number one seller followed by Zahid Nihari at Tariq Road (Saddar wala).
Other Nihari houses are Sohail at North Nazimabad and Bawa nihari at North Karachi (Bawa is really very tasty one).
In Lahore I ate Nihari in New Anar Kali - that is also very yummy nihari.
But Nihari is not a healthy food. You can only have it once in 3 months. People who ate it more than many times in week end up suffering from arthritis, heart diesase and IBS.
Nihari when eaten with raw tomatoes gives you a different and yummy taste.
Some people eat nihari with a belief that it stimulates their stamina. In fact this is not the case. Actually the raw ginger put as garnish in nihari stimulates them.

Arjay!!! Thank you for your inputs here. Actually I grow up eating Bhoray Khan's nihari and when I started working at I. I. Chundrigar Road, it was Waheed (kabab wala)'s nihari which I some used to eat. Sabri was a bit far away.
Hey guys , Taj mahal Nihari at Waterpup in Federal B Aread was good at certain point of time. I do not know if it is still there , in fact as far as I remember there was another Nihari house next to Taj Makahal I do not remember the name now, they were both busy all the time. I grew up in that area so I know.
