I disagree. The best keeper has to be Rashid Latif, if Moin was not around, Rashid might have left all world records behind. After Dujon I rate Rashid the best keeper.

Should we give Akmal the benefit in view of what's recently happened to his dad? I mean his father got seriously hurt in that attack and has been taken to Mayo hospital. So maybe that's playing on his mind a bit. but then he has been dropping dollies and missing easy stumpings for sometime now and really needs a break from cricket to get his focus and his confidence back

just a little update for all those who dont know !! akmal's dad has been shot in a robbery attempt yesterday according to todays 'jang' newspaper. his dad was kidnapped in his own car and later shot on his legs and left by the roadside while the robbers made away with cash n car ... his dad has survived but I think the kid's got too much on his mind .. he definately needs a little break. i dont blame him at all for todays missed chances at least !

Duntoo always has an excuse for his mediocre wicketkeeping, either he is getting married or his father is in hospital. He is not the only player suffering from mental and social pressures. Loo at Yunus Khan, Moyo both have suffered personal losses or experienced family issues, yet their performance is not affected cause they are true professionals, class that separates the good from the bad.
Duntoo has missed crucial chances that have costed dearly for Pakistan. When will we have the courage to say enough is enough and give some other player the chance to prove his worth, after all its Pakistan that comes first and Pakistan deserves the best.

I have always been an ardent supporter but today he put up another atrocious display. Alarm bells must seriously be ringing in the Pakistan camp. I don't care if the keeper gets out on duck but wickets in Test matches are golden, the easy chances have to be taken.

Our bowlers including Shoaib Sami, Danny all work extremly hard to do what they do, while one drops the ball every so often and shows no corrective efforts.

Akmal was brought to the side on the sledge of Rashid,Moin, Z'Haider and today's cricket and rating game will hardly provide you a breather or an extension as you prescribe^ .
I liked him a lot but can clearly see some personality change here to stay.

Im a big akmal supporter as well, and some of the innings hes played have been amazing. When in form he is a very capable batsmen, and a good fielder. I was very disappointed with his play lately, and today was just bad.
but i mean his dad is in a hospital guys, I know other guys in the team like MoYo and YK have had to deal with things as welll but they look like much older and stronger individuals
we have to remember that akmal is still a kid really, and he needs time to develop, he is supposed to be our long term wicketkeeping solution
regardless he needs to be sent home to spent time with his family, and he needs to come back strong pakistan need an inform akmal for the world cup.

inzamam has hinted in his interview with raja that he may get dropped in the next match which will be a good move.
