Ok i dont get this, Fluke you say eh ? Fine fluke can work for 25 runs, 50 runs or even 75 runs.. but 125 WITHOUT giving ONE chance ? I mean what kind of fluke we are talking about here ?

A guy who can consistently score boundaries in the covers and not waste any balls in between can not be a fluke. We saw glimpses of his batting talent in the past month or so. Now he is shining through. I think he planned his innings rather well.

watched the match on teletext was quite impressed with Kamran, i think he has proved himself…well done him. :k:

Yup it was against the Windies, but you did predict a Windies win over Pakistan by 70 odd runs. So they cant be all that bad, can they?

It might be a fluke, it might be a weak opposition but had he not scored those runs we would have said ‘oh he cant score against windies, how can he score against aussies?’.

We, pakistanis, are never happy.

Hey I resent that bit about Tasleem Arif, he was a much better player then Bari ever aspired to be....

Secondly what qualifies as a fluke is his failing in all his 20 pervious innings and then scoring a century out of no where. We will see how he does in the next few games and I have feeling this will remain a fluke.

Also, I did predict Windies winning by 70 odd runs, but at least part of my prediction did come true windies did score close to 280 that I had predicted. Its just that bowling let me down and if it was not for that fuke, I would have been correct in my prediciton....

No, this wasn't a fluke. I am still not his biggest fan, because his batting still has a lot of flaws in it, but that 124 was not a fluke. If you have actually watched the innings, you will understand. He can only get better with his technique, and hopefully he will.

**batting has been his problem but he played great in 3rd test. keeping was never an issue. he is a great keeper. so what if he dropped langer in 1st test. how many cathes have gilchrist dropped so far ?? akmal is not a superman he’ll drop some.

having said that, i hv to say he’s the most natural looking young keeper i hv seen in yrs. something whcih bob woolmer have said and also aussie commentators have liked him. so no matter whatever u say abt keepers back home, he looked the part from day 1.

only issue was his batting and he proved that he can bat a bit as well. we dunt need a century everyday. all he needs to do is support salman. salman is styll the main man. so atleast give him some credit for what was a stunning century nonetheless. whether he is consistent, only time will tell. he has shown atleast that he is fearless, hardworking and talented. so give him some credit for that!!!**

lol someone here said what an unconsiderate lot we could be … man u just proved that . see it doesnt matter what he does in next game. we shd STOP this trend of going from game to game. lets give him a shot for the next xouple of series and then make an opinion abt him. but so far SO GOOD.

i,ll preffer kamran akmal on any other keeper in domestic level or national including our seniors (rashid, and moin) i saw him first against south africa he opened for paki i think he made around 35 but the way way hemade those showed that he can be a regular batsman for paki. and he i s a excellent keeper . i know he ahsnt performed with a bat in recent i think he will do that once he,ll get a comfort of his position. rite now eventhough he is the only keeper to AUS there r many fingers pointing at him. so be KOOOL let him play his game. and dont bring players who r not even in circuit like hamyun.

I said it before and he proved KEEP IT UP KAMI.

it’s better to stick with a young keeper than to bring old guys back down the road to the World Cup 2007 - rashid has back problems and usually gets himself hurt - Moin’s performance has been a no factor.
