I found that annoying about her as well. In the last episode, she pushes Noor Bano to talk to Shani. WHY????? What's the need??????? Your son is a grown man......he doesn't need mommy to help find him a friend to rid him of his restlessness. And Noor Bano, herself, told the mother that she won't talk to Shani unless the mother is also present.
The mother either forgot about that.....or chose not to remember it. She want to put all the blame on Noor Bano.....because she can't bear to have anyone think of her nalayak son Shani as being guilty. She has pampered and coddled him way too much.....and it's because of her that he doesn't feel any responsibility for his mistakes.
Also, Noor Bano wasn't entirely innocent either. If you look at her facial expressions and her thoughts.....she does have a dark side to her. A part of her feels some degree of pleasure in knowing that Shani Puttar likes her.....and that she's more intelligent and more adept at household chores than Shani's wife, Aliya.
Aliya has acted the part of a simple girl sooooooo well. Her acting is so natural....that she makes me think of ANY girl.....that one might know among their friends....or in school....or in their neighborhood. But at the same time...................she's ANNOYING because she's so naive. You feel sympathy for her because she's so sweet and gentle......but you also get irritated because she can be sooo obtuse.

I haven't had a chance to get past the first episode and some scenes I caught on some episodes when I visited my parents few weeks ago.
I have some catching up to do. I was browing through the rest of the PTV dramas and there was one I caught the other night that also looked good. Didn't get the name. Forgot when I saw it too.
Because it's frikkin PTV, either the dramas will suck, or they're be really strong in script to make up for the low-budget. So for those of you tired of the private dramas that are silly and nonsensical, maybe you should tune into PTV's dramas.

Actually most of us have tuned** Frooooom** PTV to private channels when they stopped to present quality stuff

^ Does PTV rely on tv licence money? If so then it would explain the low quality of their dramas since so many people avoid paying tv licence in Pakistan.
I think quality of Kalmoohi is much better than other PTV dramas at the moment.

Yeah that was the original trend. I'm speaking of the possibility of the pendulum swinging back. If you make a quality drama with a great script, but you didn't have enough budget to throw in all the glam and hire an over made up model as the lead actress, then you might be getting rejections from private channels...and taking your material over to PTV.

^ So true. Also, with PTV it's guaranteed to be a Pakistani product through and through. No random dances to bolly songs, cheesy dialogues or bold scenes.

this week episode had the best camera angles! as usual i didnt like shani baba :) sania ,sohail sameer, and seemab did great acting!
