Justice Wajeehudeen is one of teh great personalities in Pakistan.. how shameless are we in saying things about the person who symbolizes the very spirit of unselfish determination.. very few in Pakistan have the courage as he did.. I salute him :k:

The matter is no longer sub judice, and decision out. Everything is in public domain and the SC decision is a public property now...subject to public criticism and scrutiny. This is matter of free speech protected by the constitution, and I see nothing wrong with what the judge said.

pakistan is a free country so supreme court decisions should be open to criticism. however there is a difference between criticising legal stance of judges versus accusing judges for being on the take without offering any proof. in the interview, this bozo ex-judge is saying that judges took favours from the government in return for favourable judgment. this is essentially the most serious accusation that can be made against a judge. also public arena is the wrong forum to make such accusation because sitting judges dont give interviews and thus cant refute allegations against them. since this bozo ex-judge was fighting for the chief justice, he can approach the cj with any evidence he has against any of the judges. otoh if he is hurling corruption allegations without proof, then he should be thrown in jail. moreover since supreme court including the current cj has also ruled in favour of musharraf in earlier cases, using this bozo's logic, cj must have been on the take as well. this begs the question why should aduliya be free if supreme court judges are on the take?

Didn't CNN, the New York Times and the Washington Post actively insult Gonzales for a 4 year period? You don't see anybody in the US government having a heart attack.
Typical Pakistani stupidity. Its okay if happens abroad, but how dare you exercise freedom of speech in Pakistan.

typical pakistani stupidity not drawing distinction between supreme court judges and attorney general who is a part of the government and not of the judiciary. also criticism of gonzales was on the grounds of his competence which can be a valid line of attacks against judges. however no corruption allegations were made against gonzales. also all the u.s. supreme court judges that were republican appointees ruled in favour of bush when the result of florida elections went to court. i would like to see any report where supreme court judges were accused in the jaib of republicans?

Yup exactly! I don't see so-called respected ex-judges in the west making stupid accusations against SC judges, when they don't like their decisions. I actually quite liked Wajeehuddin before these comments, he seemed like someone clean and untainted. But now he is flushing a life time's good reputation down the drain by these sort of politcal statements.

and "people who are accusing Wajeeh have not seen Qausuri" is not a valid argument. Qusuri is a dump person and Wajeeh Udding is also showing his class by serious contempt of court. I fail to understand the logic that you can not criticize the wrong act of a person becasue "he has been a decent man for whole life" . .... wrong act is wrong and should be criticized.
I don't know if you have even read the whole thread or not but most of the people said that they USED to respect Wajeeh Uddin. He is not a farishta and he showed that and should be condemned.

I wish you would have said same for SHER AFGHAN when he criticized the SC decision about CJ and was SERVED THE CONTEMPT OF COURT NOTICE by beloved CJ. Now it should only be fair to serve same notice to Wajeeh Uddin from beloved CJ but i dont think thats going to happen

I AM AGAINST THE CONTEMPT OF COURT LAW AND COURTS DECISIONS SHOULD BE OPEN FOR CRITICISM BUT THIS SHOULD BE ACROSS THE BOARD. NO ONE SHOULD BE SERVED CONTEMPT OF COURT NOTICE FOR CRITICIZING THE DECISIONS BUT IF *BELOVED CJ IS PICKING AND CHOOSING THE PEOPLE TO SERVE NOTICE, THIS IS WRONG ! *

^ So did everyone else in July when the decision went CJ’s way. Now that the Free Judiciary has thrown the case against Musharaf out, they say judiciary is not Free. LOL.

Sher Afghan Niazi gets summoned by the court for criticising the ruling they made on letting Nawaz back, but they ignore what one of their won (Wajeedhuddin) said in blatantly criticising this ruling.
