5' 6'' and a 1/2 and LOOOOVE heels!
5'5" and love to wear flats as well as 3-4 inch heels...have to be somewhat near my hubby's height...6'3" (mashallah)

M 5'4 ... my would be hubby is 6 Feet (Mashallah) .. I think we would look gud together .. not sure though .. HAVEN'T met him yet.
**a relative of mine, who is an opthalmologist, was 4'7" tall and unhappy with her stature, she decided to have a procedure on her legs to lengthen her height. everybody opposed the idea but she, being a doc herself, decided to go ahead with the grafting procedure. the surgeons grafted a 6 inch metal piece on to her legs. after the procedure, she felt great and now she was 5 inches taller. very happpy soul indeed!
but, guess what? within few months she started having excrutiating pain in her both legs which redered her invalid. she was confined to bed and eventually she decided to remove the grafted piece of metal. she underwent another surgery, got it removed. now, she is one inch shorter than originallly she was [now 4"6" tall] with a limp. she drags one leg...SAD!!! :(**
one should really be content with what she/he has...and making physical changes to get yourself accepted in the society is no good. I feel sad for your cousin.

Most cosmetic surgery is reversible.
Also, even if permanent, there is a difference of opinion on it's permissability (hence Tehran being the nose-job capital of the world lol), some say it's not allowed, some say it's ok. The whole debate of 'changing Allah's creation' can encompass so many things eg changing hair colour is allowed (apart from black) and so is the wearing of coloured contact lenses even tho it changes our appearance and also allowed is correcting a 'deformity' such as an abnormally large or crooked nose or breasts that are too large. It's all pretty subjective, I mean correcting a so-called 'deformity' to one person can be seen as pure vanity by someone else which is why there tends to be so much confusion on this topic.
'Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: Removing faults is permissible. Hence the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) allowed the one whose nose had been cut off in battle to wear a nose made of gold. The matter is broader in scope than that, as it also covers issues of beautification and cosmetic surgery. That which is done to remove a fault is permissible, such as if a person has some crookedness in his nose and he straightens it, or he removes a black spot, for example. There is nothing wrong with that. But if it is not done to remove a fault, such as tattooing and plucking eyebrows, for example, then this is forbidden. '
