@Bobby1 The difference between you and others here is that all the wrongdoings you are listing about non-western countries (in defence of your Western masters), are condemned by others.

It is not about policies, it is about hatred for western values if one hates western values then why would they come here?
I didn’t like being in a place and did whatever to get out of there. Why do people risk life to get to west? have you ever seen Germans loading up in the dinghy to cross the ocean to take refuge in Algeria?

I agree with that. And I’m sure most muslims would agree with that.

Let me tell you. In all my life in west, I havent met even a single person calling for sharia or talking about it. This whole talk that sharia is coming is all BS. Did you read things said in those Islamophobic rallies? The display of weapons in there? The amount of abusive lingo used? Now if you agree with them which I hope you dont, but if you do all I can say is good luck.

I don’t know about USA - Sid! But here in the Uk we have seen many such open demonstrations!

I think the people doing anti Islam things in the US are Christian hard core people and I think the majority do not support their ideas!

But if things continue like this from the Islamic extremist in the west as they are currently then Bobby is right that life for people you met and they don’t give a damn to this sharia thing, will become miserable!

you are right in that the evangelical christians are pretty much the most racist and bigoted folks in the US. and they are not a tiny minority - in the south, these “guns and white jesus” christians are even a majority in a large portion of the counties, have powerful influence and money, and even after months of Trump’s ineptness support him in 85-90% figures, because he is anti-muslim and anti-mexican. they make up significant positions in the administration and army.

the main difference between those who support shariah and these americans - the former are more upfront and outspoken, the latter cloak their bigotry in “freedom”, “liberty”, “constitutional right” - to martin luther king jr, they said america gives them the “freedom” to choose what color kids to go to school with, what color folks to have in their neighborhoods, etc.. this is no recent phenomenon.

i am not saying that ISIS is not a problem or that hindutva creeps lynching people over cows is not a problem. they sure are. their bigotry kills people where they live, destroy their own societies. but this western bigotry coupled with greed - it keeps their neighborhoods safe and massacres thousands, bombs countries into oblivion elsewhere for their perceived “strategic depth”. the whole world is paying for 15 years of instability in Iraq. Iraq is unstable because of 9/11 which they had nothing to do with.

You are so conditioned to be a racist that you don’t even realize you are being a racist. When Hindus converted to Islam they were called enlightened and when an eastern person subscribes to the charter of rights and freedoms he is called a self-hating Indian. If having friends from all races and religion makes me self-hating then so be it. Humans of all backgrounds can choose to believe in democracy, freedom of sexual orientation etc. I have helped out many desis in my life but won’t subscribe to the values where parents won’t let children marry for love.
