Is there anyone in the same boat? I went to the gym last night, did weights, went today in the afternoon, just got home from the gym and brought all this Thai food with me and ate a lot and had a can of coke
How awful is it really? Am I not meant to lose fat?
im going again tonight just for the treadmill. but im too tired and sleepy now. but my husband is going so there is some kind of motivation for me to go, but im still sleep now.
ive gotta say though, i used to run with a lot of breaks in between and could only go half a mile now i run almost nonstop for 1.5 miles!! :D
I keep going to the gym and then eat like crazy when i return :hinna:
I wish we had a switch off button behind our ears that could help us kill the hunger pangs …
^i know!!! initially i would go on the treadmill, plug in my headphones and watch the food network!!! it was like i can almost smell the food sizzling on the platters.
now i have started listenign to music :(
but anyway, ive started eating smaller portions, but have like 4 meals a day. dont eat candies,chocolates, CHIPS!! anymore, well not as much as i used to. and i often see myself looking at the back of the bag to see how many calories things are!
also it was actually 1.46 miles and i didnt stop in it, instead i would reduce the speed occasionally to a brisk walk.
but i seriously remmeber when i could barely do .5 miles and that was with a lot of breaks in between phew! i wanna be able to do 5 miles with no stops at all! i wanna be able to all alone the river and back. that is my goal for the summer :D
no one can beat my first attempt at the gym, I went in all geared up with gym wear , towel and stuff … got on the weights for 30 seconds and got so freaking out of breath, I went to the cafetaria had a few smoothies , took a bath and returned to work ..
day two, same thing happened ,hardly a few seconds on the weights and i lost it. went to the cafeteria had the smoothies , took a bath and returned to work ..
day three, the instructor came and told me , you aint coming here to have all this food , now get your arse on that treadmill she made me to do 25 minutes of non stop running … I almost fainted , looked so red i would have given a tomato a color complex !
well thank you :) I was quite impressed by myself and actually proud. I'm more motivated to go now that I actually see some kind of change other than muscle aches.
sumorani ur not the only one,,,,i think it happens to eveyone,,,me and my friend started walking last year,,,we used to walk 3 miles on a track everyday,,,and the whole time we wud b talking abt wht we wanna eat after we are done :D....we used to go to panera bread afterwards and get a chocolate crumb pastry or a cinnamon crunch bagle along wid lemonade...lol...it was fun though...
1.5 miles is approximately 150 calories burnt (yeah dont believe that treadmill, unless you are a big girl you burn only around 100 calories a mile). so yeah you earned 2/3rd of your coke can. :p
seriously though forget calories. concentrate on routines and fitness and the fat will melt away long term. ask anyone who runs regularly, 1.5 miles isnt much at all. you'll think so too in a few months if you keep up your running motivation.
concentrate on fitness. the fitter you get the better your workouts are going to be, the more calories you'd end up burning. forget counting calories for now. it is immaterial in the big picture.
