Just came back from the gym and ate A LOT

Re: Just came back from the gym and ate A LOT

even if you get hungry, continue working out. its ok to eat. it doesnt matter how many calories that you burned its more about the fact that it boosts your metabolism overall and keeps your heartbeat up and maintains your overall health. so eat that food if you are hungry babe, just try to continue working out on a constant yet moderate basis

Word!

yeh, even when i count calaries it sucks, cuz i still eat it  and as far as running goes, i know 1.5 miles isnt much but its alot compared to where i started from. im already very fit, i just want to be pencil thin :snooty: ok maybe pen thin.

yeh ive noticed that i get hungry frequently now. very weird! so i do eat, just smaller portions

Re: Just came back from the gym and ate A LOT

well.. i guess we have different ideas of fitness. i suspect yours is more about looking thin. :p

imho, if you are fit, you should be able to run 3 miles in under 30 mins without feeling uncomfy. and be able to feel like you could do it all over again.

Re: Just came back from the gym and ate A LOT

do you enjoy salads? if you feel like eating, keep a huge bowl handy.. i was watching some show and the fitness instructor was talking about it.. and how salads are not just healthy but low in cals as well.

sumorani, have you ever tried the elliptical machine? you're pretty much running on it without putting a lot of pressure on your knees.

Well yes ofciurse I don't think 'fit' means thin and I've already stated that my goal is to run along the river and back that's in NYC, east river which would be about 7-8 miles. But u can't just start at the gym and expect to be able to run 3 miles easily. And for people, thin and not thin, being able to go from walking half a mile to running 1.5 miles is a big deal.

Yeh love salads! I've been eating them but they seem to make me wanna eat more unless they are drenched in dressing haha

Re: Just came back from the gym and ate A LOT

Yeah, actually salads make the stomach expand and create more urges to eat (as the stomach is empty yet expanded) and salads are almost entirely water/air (and some nutrients) so they can sometimes have an adverse effect!
