Since when is being sexy way better than beautiful in the beauty scale? …

or is the other way around .. i thought sexy was a bad term, as in negative sense, degrading women and all that.

but anyway, i've not heard that sexiness is a negative or demeaning term. and the reason that not so beautiful girls sometimes get more attention than beautiful ones if they are dressing or acting in a more 'sexy' manner is because it comes with confidence and usually confidence in itself is very attractive.
look at someone like scarlett johannson, she's not really conventionally beautiful but she has a body which she dresses in a sexy way and exudes that kind of appeal.

Being sexy IMO simply means that you are attractive and appealing to the opposite gender in a sexual way. A sexy girl doesnt necessarily have to have nice facial features though.

I dont think being called sexy is degrading…you cant help being sexy. lol

A girl that is beautiful has nice features but isnt necessarily sexy.

Then there are those that have both.

even if some random guy goin to tell me im beautiful that ll also be degrading,beauty is dumb its effortless while on the other hand sexy is edgy,it has more impact.

To me , "beautiful" encompasses someone's personality and character and attitude as well as their looks...but "sexY" is mostly looks and attitude.

as for the topic on hand - i agree with Sara516, the term 'sexy' is strictly related to outer-looks, while beauty for me esp is more about one's inner-self/character/personality.
