The President of Pakistan joined Junoon on stage on the 25th of December at the Quaid’s mausoleum. Pres. Musharraf had specially asked Junoon to perform at the commemoration of the Quaid’s 125th birth anniversary. The President praised Junoon during his speech; this is probably the first time a Head of State in Pakistan has joined a popular music group on stage! Junoon was also joined on stage by Dr. Samina Ahmad who performed “Azadi” with Junoon. Junoon also performed “Jazba-e-Junoon”.
Is that Musharaf I see shaking a leg in the second pic! Wah ji Wah I am impressed. Its about time Pakistan has broad minded leaders who dont believe in "Music is UnIslamic" crap!

Perhaps it would be better if you learn islam first and then tell us whats un-islamic and whats not.
Internet is primarily an Information Exchange Media. Just like books , and TV is. Thus using the internet is not haram but just like TV and Books using the bad elements of it is. One can very easily abstain from those bad elements.....
As for music. When something is ruled haram in islam then its haram.
akif-zeb aapko yah acha lagta hai kay hum khud kuch produce na karein aur doosray jo marzi bana kar hamein dikhatay rahein????
aager hum khud produce karein kum az kum achay aur buray ko apnay andaz mein pesh kar saktay hein. warna aager doosray banaein to phir voh aapko aisa nahi dikhaein gay jaisay aap hein.
yah sochnay ka waqt hai kay hum khan hein??? hmein kis cheez ki zarooret hai? hum loag kaam nahi karna chahtay doosron say kehtay hein kar kay hamein khilao.
kehnay ko bohet kuch hai lekin... ab mein kya kahoon.
then just die hunh?!? Why bOring us? almOst everyOne here knOws hOw big Of a fan yOu are.
b.t.w, “Its about time Pakistan has broad minded leaders who dont believe in “Music is UnIslamic” crap!”. Perhaps yOu shOuld take a lessOn in histOry then. yOur Own prOphet made it clear that any instrument besides “duff” is unislamic. What yOu shOuld have dOne is just pOst the picture, but neah, yOu have tO bring religiOn intO the pOsts. Rise the fire, and then cOmplain ban this user, ban that user, and clOse threads
As for Ali's comment on linking Islam + Music, I agree 100%. However I really believe that if any of the Muslims do not like music or do not want to listen to it, it is THEIR choice and I respect that. The problem begins, when we start generalizing about the whole country because don't forget that when the Talib's banned music, do you you all honestly believe that no music was ever played under their rule? secretly? Heck, even Iran is big on popular music and satellite dishes. So please let the people of Pakistan have an outlet for joy through their miseries.

Boring you. Excuse me?! But the last time I checked gupshup was a discussion forum. If you dont like something dont write in the post. And I dont know what you think is the purpose of discussion forums but the last time I heard thats what you do in discussion forums express yourself.
I am just thankful to Allah that Pakistan isn’t run by idiots like you anymore…
By the way Sub Zero, I have never complained to ban users. Unlike Fanatics like you I believe in freedon of speech and that everyone is entitled to there opinion.
By the just for your information. The Prophet Muhammad disliked games like chess as they waste precious time. And games such as Mortal Kombat come in the same category. Is it any different than music? GOD I HATE HIPPOCRATES!
I dont believe in music is “unislamic” crap! Musharraf is the best thing that ever happened to Pakistan. Way to go Junoon and way to go Prez! You rule!!
AliBeta, if you cant justify your statement ('Its about time Pakistan has broad minded leaders who dont believe in "Music is UnIslamic" crap!' then please accept that this statement is totally wrong. Music is unislamic, pure and simple.. so its certainly idiotic for a muslim to call it 'CRAP'.
What good would a country do if all its people know how to sing 'hay jazba junoon to himmat na har', but are total loosers when it comes to something of substance? Dont forget that Pakistan was built on the foundation of religion, its leaders should uphold that foundation.
Sometimes your immaturity surprises me? Someone questions your statement and instead of justifying it you bring in other examples. Are you dumb or somewhat?
Now since you think that we have a leader who does not believe in {quote}Music is haram CRAP{/quote}, how would it help our country? Why are you so glad about it? Do you like it when Mushi gets up there and shakes his booty?
