Junaid Jamshed and his change

Re: Junaid Jamshed and his change

Post guidance from above.

Re: Junaid Jamshed and his change

Interesting use of the word "above" since I do not think he's using what's up there if he is indeed sincere about this...

Re: Junaid Jamshed and his change

Sadly, Iv'e seen way too many stories depicting the TJ in such a colour... i dont know if this is what their organisation teaches, whether ppl just become like that after joining them, or maybe some pppl who dont know how to take responsibility well join them...

  • a dude left his 9 month pregnant wife alone in a flat and went for with TJ for 40 days, his wife begged him to not got, but his reply was "everything is in Allah's hand"!!!!!???!!!! while he was away, his wife went into labour and had to call her next door gora neighbour (male) to take her to the hospital

  • a man who used to have ppl stay at his house when they'd visit australia... anyway, his wife couldn't bear cooking 4 these ppl all the time and she she allowed him to get married to another women from paki... she came, but was NEVER given the status of a wife, and they told everyone that she is just someone from paki here to teach the kids quran!!! after a while, the first wife couldn't handle another women and ordered her husband to divorce the second wife! and that scoundral did! and she was left alone in a country where she knew nothing... thankfully ppl helped her out and now she is married to the MOST nicest man.

  • a man who'd go on tabligh all the time would let his daugheters dance on stage showing their bear stomachs! he was totally ok with it... and he allowed alcohol at his restaraunt!

and the sad stories go on and on..... :(

TJ ppl usually have good ikhlaq but its just so sad to see so many ppl pertaining to this group doing things that are totally not allowed in Islam... i dont get it?

The first ppl that have haq on a person is your family, and these are the ppl that are often denied this with the excuse "i am going on tableeq"... deen and dunya do go saath saath.... staying in a mosque doesn't really help in implementing islam onto the society we live in.

Wassalam.

Re: Junaid Jamshed and his change

^ sadly yeah i know of people with similar instances.

Those are people who are totally extremists and ofcourse islam has no room for those type of people.

but as for TJ i've been to their "seminars" and stuff, and u have a choice as to what you want to do, they do recruit for the path of allah, but its the individual who makes the choice what he leaves behind. And some people are just plain idiots.

Re: Junaid Jamshed and his change

lol i knew this thread will go into a debate about TJ. There is much debate on this in the past on these forums..

The seniors teach to take care of the family needs first and then go for whatever days you can. Sadly, there are few that take it overboard.

Re: Junaid Jamshed and his change

well I also found out that even for his naat ced he lifted teh tune from some 1980s song, its not confirmed yet and I have asked my source for confirmation. so as of now its just an afwah even though the source is pretty solid.

Re: Junaid Jamshed and his change

your criteria of seriousness is like qualification of “the one who can cast stone is the one who never commits a sin” kind. You dont find a person like that. Learn how to appreciate people for their good deeds instead of crtisizng the fact that they sell this or that or has money from this or that. I personaly respect JJ a lot for the fact that he left for Allah what many of us desire for

Re: Junaid Jamshed and his change

he did not leave enough did he? no harm in stating facts.
I mean what would you say if I was goign around preaching while running a strip joint on the side...

Re: Junaid Jamshed and his change

While I agree with Tariq bhai and appreciate JJ for turning towards Allah and respect him for that (May Allah reward him and give us all Hidayah), Mr. Frodo does raise a valid point here

Re: Junaid Jamshed and his change

Fraudia's exmple is little extreme, that reflects hypocrisy. I dont see JJ as hypocrite. I think he is a normal guy, on his way to become better muslim. Nothing happens overnight

Re: Junaid Jamshed and his change

I don't consider him a hypocrite. I cannot judge his Imaan, he may be closer to Allah than the rest of us. You may be closer to Allah than the rest of us. It is true that nothing happens over night and I don't deny that. Infact there are also ahadith where the Prophet (s.a.w) mention that you should not be fast at such stuff, otherwise you might just end up giving up after awhile. All I was saying is that Mr. Frodo raised a valid point (which in my opinion, was not to bash him or his imaan) :)

Re: Junaid Jamshed and his change

I agree that Fraudia was not judging his Imaan, maybe he was making an observation.

Thanks for sahring that Hadith. Could you post the whole Hadith. That sounds like a beautiful advice

Re: Junaid Jamshed and his change

Narrated Abu Hurairah (R.A): The Prophet (S.A.W) said, "Religion is very easy and whoever overburdens himself in his religion will not be able to continue in that way. So you should not be extremists, but try to be near to perfection and recieve the good tidings that you will be rewarded; and gain strength by offering the prayers in the mornings, afternoons and during the last hours of the nights.

Narrated Aisha (R.A): Once the Prophet (S.A.W) came while a woman was sitting with me. He said "Who is she?" I replied, "She is so-and-so," and told Him about her excessive praying. He said disapproavingly, "Do (good) deeds which are within your capacity (without being overtaxed) as Allah does not get tired (of giving rewards) but (surely) you will get tired Ad-Din (good righteous deed - act of worship loved most by Allah) is that which is done regularly."

Re: Junaid Jamshed and his change

Brother we should prioritise deen first for ourselves. There does exist necessity to compare one to another only if ones practices with stronger imaan and attained a taqwa level to the extent where he or she feels very much close to Allah swt.

I think it would be naïve to simply come on forums and criticize someone’s life style.

None of us are perfect. Its even more foolish to simply accusing a person of selling Haram. Even if he is …… is that what islam teaches you ? rather seek forgiveness from Allah swt for your actions and make dua for other muslims so their state of imaan improves.

Make dua brother. Life is not long to sooner or later I and you would be 7 feet down rather make serious efforts to be prepared for the hereafter life.

Re: Junaid Jamshed and his change

Sad on you too....

In every walk of life we have to see what the Holy prophet and their SAHABA did,,,,,,,
On the eve of Hijrat Holy prophet left all their family members including Aisha(RTA), Fatima (RTA) and Abubakar (SAHABI) left Asma (RTA) and other family members behind,,,,,
and now our family members are more important than those,,,,,,,
First study History of Islam then go to talk about Islam

Don,t mind it plz

Re: Junaid Jamshed and his change

Those who did not read (or can not read) the interview. It was very nice to read this wise and well ballanced answers. My respect for him grown manifold. The interviewer tried to ask him about the harsh comments of Shoaib Mansoor who publically criticised Junaid Jamshed publically for abandoning music and changing life style.

In his reply Junaid Jamshed has shown his utmost respect for shoab mansoor and praised him from the core of his heart. He told that Shoaib was his mentor , he taught him (JJ) whatever music he know , he taught him how to behave in public ,in media. He composed most of the music and wrote lyrics and made music videos for vital signs but never charged anything from him, inspite of the fact that VS and JJ made lots of money. He said that thorughout these 16 years of friendship he never saw anything objectionable in Shoaib mansoor’s personality.

I have not seen This kind of honesty from any celebrity. Hats off to Junaid Jamshed :k:

Re: Junaid Jamshed and his change

just an observation...

there seems to have been a wave of celebrities turning to TJ. I mean JJ wasn't he only one, afridi, inzmaam, saeed anwar also turned to them dint they?

Re: Junaid Jamshed and his change

You do know the difference between hijrat and tableeg, right?

Re: Junaid Jamshed and his change

The purpose of Hijrat was also for Islam to be fruitful and Tableegh is also for that and also there are examples of Sahaba for Tableegh to left family,,,,,

Ok

Re: Junaid Jamshed and his change

There is a world of difference between Hijrat and Tableegh.

Anyway nobody is criticising Tableegh and Dawat, what we're criticising is the idiots who ignore the rights their wives, children and families have over them, who negelect their duty to study or earn a living and think they're going to achieve Moksha by spending their whole lives only on these Yaatras, Islam is a balance mate*,* you can't just use the Tableegh excuse to absolve yourself of your responsibilties.

Allah provides but you have to make an effort as well, Islam requires able bodied men to earn a living and support their families...

Islam condemns being a beggar if you're able-bodied..

Unfortunately a lot of these Tableeghi Mullah's I know are BEGGARS, they leech benefits of the state but they have never worked in their lives or paid any taxes, they are a shame to British Muslims, no wonder everyone hates us so much.

They talk about how much sukoon they have spending their lives "in the path of Allah", of course you're going to get sukoon, anyone who goes on vacations all over the world year round and like a baygherat rejects his responsibilities of working and earning an honest living and instead relies on the state's sadqah/khairat to feed his children, and hands over his own responsibilities to his wife is going to be at sukoon, fikar na faaka aish kar kaaka.

Islam doesn't need such useless people.
