MashaAllah. May Allah raise Pakistan and make the leader of Ummah. Aameen
Re: Junaid Jamshed about Pakistan
I don't know the basis of his stats but let's take his word for it. Why is it that we don't see the effects of all that worship and sacrifice? If you can't see the effects of piety in the overall society, it is safe to assume that all that worship is, by and large, mindlessly performed rituals.
Namaz be-hayaai aur buri baton se rokti hai
Translation: Prayer prevents you from indulging in vulgarity and bad actions (misdeeds). If it doesn't, it's not namaz. Doesn't matter how much you pretend otherwise.
Re: Junaid Jamshed about Pakistan
I dont see any truth in the figures he stated .. clearly they are highly biased and exaggerated .. and whats with him belittling the Overseas Pakistani’s ![]()
i used to think highly of JJ .. this video has let me down big time ![]()
Re: Junaid Jamshed about Pakistan
"hum jaisay bhi hain so hain......"
not exactly the sort of attitude that promotes growth and self-improvement....
nor is the sarcasm that is used about overseas pakistanis well-received.
jab itna sab kuch ho raha hai pakistan main....tau teekh kiss baat ka hona?
btw....who is the target audience here?
Re: Junaid Jamshed about Pakistan
Muzna, I am not sure but it seems like one of those tabligi dars audience … he usually holds these sittings for tableeg …
I completely agree with you, I think he’s been bitten by the same virus that bit Zaid Hamid ![]()
La hola wala Quwwat , I still cant believe this is the same JJ we all knew ![]()
Re: Junaid Jamshed about Pakistan
La hola wala Quwwat , I still cant believe this is the same JJ we all knew :(
I don't have any issue with him turning over a new leaf.....but before we stand up and speak before an audience that is likely to be influenced, shouldn't we engage in some formal training that teaches us the impact of our words????
I may be speaking out of turn as I don't know for sure if he has had any such formal training but it certainly does not appear so.
Re: Junaid Jamshed about Pakistan
He should be in show-biz.
He reminds me of Aamir Liaquat.
Except that Aamir Liaquat has a better appearance.
Re: Junaid Jamshed about Pakistan
Goodness, please don’t compare him to the likes of amir liaqat and zaid hamid :bummer:
Aisi baat hai tau phir I must be one of the creeps too because honestly speaking GS per jis jis tarah ki generalizations maine parhi hain Pakistanio k baare mein, I get what JJ is on about. For example, I recently read a post that Pakistani men are either very liberal that they are into partying/drinking/sex etc or they are very conservative/jahil… and the poster obviously didn’t have a clue about Pakistan and said this is something so-and-so told her… Dimagh esplodes! JJ is referring to his interactions with such overseas Pakistanis who have come up to him with such mind-boggling generalizations… like he said “log mujse puchte hain… mujhe kehte hain Pakistan aisa hai Pakistan waisa hai” … I guess he was addressing that small minority of overseas Pakistanis here.
And am I the only one who thinks he finished off on a nice note k “Khud ko theek karna hai”? Doesn’t that show he isn’t brushing the nation’s flaws under the carpet?
Baat rahi statistics ki tau I don’t have a clue where he’s getting the “facts” from. As far as giving charity is concerned, Pakistan is indeed at the top of the list in South Asia. South Asia Investor Review: Pakistan Leads South Asia in Charitable Giving Baki stats may be I’ll try to verify later.
Re: Junaid Jamshed about Pakistan
whats the topic again??
JJ’s lies about the facts he stated?
Pakistan’s problems??
overseas pakistanis talking faeces without knowing ??

Re: Junaid Jamshed about Pakistan
no Barbie....you are not the only one that thinks he finished off on a nice note....he did....I agree with you there.
and that is why I asked who the intended audience was......because that will determine whether or not his analogies were appropriate.
there is a time and place to use the methods that he did....and this might have been one of them.......all depends on who's listening.
ideally I would avoid using the sarcasm and generalizations no matter but that could just be my style and not his.
Re: Junaid Jamshed about Pakistan
According to the report Sri Lanka is ahead of Pakistan among many other countries in charity and civic involvement.
BTW, ye South Asia ka map kiss ullu ke pathe ne banaiya hai.
According to that map I will need an Indian visa to visit Gilgit-Baltistan. :D
Re: Junaid Jamshed about Pakistan

Agreed. But what is his prescription to do that ? That is the queation.
Re: Junaid Jamshed about Pakistan
would you share actual stats and facts. Ok I saw your link, but he was emphasizing on UN report.
Re: Junaid Jamshed about Pakistan

maybe he went on to explain that.....I believe that this is an excerpt......
Re: Junaid Jamshed about Pakistan

The intended audience must have been Pakistanis. Had he been somewhere abroad, he wouldn't have used the phrase "bahar rehne wale Pakistani" because then he would've just addressed them directly. As for sarcasm, he started off with making fun of himself and the rest of Pakistanis before he started going on about overseas Pakistanis... "Pakistaniyo k baare mein tau sur peete hon ge farishto ne k ye kis ko bhej raha hai zameen pe ya Allah".... I don't think he meant to offend anyone... neither the Pakistanis back home, nor the ones living abroad.
I guess I've watched a lot of his talks so I get his sense of humour (or the lack of, however you want to see it :D )
Re: Junaid Jamshed about Pakistan
He was saying self improvement and transformation is key.
Re: Junaid Jamshed about Pakistan
^ That’s precisely it. Found the full video. He actually was in Sydney, Australia, and the audience wasn’t a group of tableeghi jamaat but the members of public.
Listen to what he says at 1:11:44 after the particular excerpt posted by STA. When the audience replies “apne aap ko theek karna hai” JJ remarks “yahan aane k mere paise wasool ho gaye… agar is baat ka ehsas ho gaya k mein qasoor waar hun tau aaj Allah ne tumhein apna wali bana liya” then he says “kabhi kisi dusre ki kamiyon pe nazar na jaye… apne pe nazar jaye k mein kamiyon se bhara hua hun”

This is very well said by Muzna .. coz i think if he didnt sound so sarcastic about it all , it wouldnt sound as bad ..
Re: Junaid Jamshed about Pakistan
Oh come on everyone - we all use sarcasm. Why does everything related to religion have to be so serious? People laughed and got a good lesson out of it.
Did he rip off his speech from someone like he used to rip off his music? :-)
