Re: Judiciary has taken over the management of Pakistan Railway!
This is wrong, judiciary should've asked to show the plan to restoring the 6 trains instead of pushing them to start right away. What if one of the trains breaks down? What if some accident happens, would judiciary accept the blame? I don't think so. If judiciary suspects fowl play they could summon the top guy of PR or recommend govt to change the top guy but to force PR to start the 6 trains is ridiculous IMO.
…The Chief Justice wrote in his decision that a commission will be set comprising senior officers, bureaucrats and members from the civil society to oversee the mismanagement in these train services…

I am sorry if I forgot,
It was in my school time book.
Chunay kuchh warq gul lala nay nastran nay
Chaman main har traf bikhri hoi dastan meri
چنے کچھ ورق للالہ نے گل نے نسترن نے
چمن میں ہر طرف بکھری ہوئی داستان میری No one is new And nothing is changed
Ghareeb ki joru sab ki bhabhi
غریب کی جورو سب کی بھابھی
Aao tum bhi loot lo
آؤ تم بھی لوٹ لو
Re: Judiciary has taken over the management of Pakistan Railway!

Re: Judiciary has taken over the management of Pakistan Railway!
What is stopping government to privatize Railway ? Rulers will get some commission from the bidders and it being in private sector will get improved. May be government allow tow or more companies to compete for each route and lay new rail lines.
Re: Judiciary has taken over the management of Pakistan Railway!
I wonder where was this so called judiciary when Zia-ul-Haq, created NLC to take away the major market share of Railways? Where was the judiciary when that mardood diverted funds to purchase expensive imported trucks, were military officials earned millions in commission. That NLC is involved in borrowing billions which went in to the pockets of again military officials? Where was this juidiciary when Musharraf hammered the last nail in the coffin of Railways? Didn't his generals then head of Railways purchased defective locomotives and coaches costing billions of dollars loss to the Railways?
I am sorry to say that when juidiciary had to take action, it normaly showed its big black behind to military dictators. This is pure stupidity and nonsense on the part of stupid judge of high court. He should have not interfere with the working of Railways.

If the minister we have to show for is Rahman Malik than why cry about army/judiciary "taking over'? Its not like "bloody civilians" are doing a good job.
