Re: Jinn stories/encounters
oh i apologise teggy i guess am getting off-topic...
whoa! I kid you not! I could swear i felt a fragrance around me the other day too while i was just sitting around. This was around late noon (4-5pm approximately).
Sort of freaked me out a bit. I just recited Aoodubillah/Bismillah and after a few moments it was gone.
Yes it could have been a jinn because we’re told of their usual resting/living spaces which include trees, abandoned ruins, deserts, and muslim jinns can often be found on the minerates of Masjids among other places.
Allah knows best.
Re: Jinn stories/encounters
This one was told to me by a trusted friend
![]()
A young man’s family once fell upon hard financial times and did not have a place to stay, so he had to spend his nights in the masjid sleeping in a section where only men would go.
One morning him and a friend were sleeping in the masjid and it was time for fajr. A woman came to them and nudged them awake saying “get up for fajr, it is time to pray”. They were taken aback that a woman would enter the private area reserved only for men, but did not think much of it at he moment. They both saw the woman walk into a part of the room that has no exit where she exited their line of sight. After waiting for her to emerge from the corner, they went to the corner to see where she was. Then they realized she had vanished without a trace, as if she appeared only to wake them up for fajr, then disappeared. Perhaps a Muslimah Jinn?
In the same masjid the same two people would pray Fajr alone together and hear audible crying coming from behind them, as if someone is moved by the Qur’an. After the prayer they would turn around to see no one there. Both independently confirmed this experience.![]()

Have mankind understood the quran properly?

So what Jinn incident can be attributed to illusion? Are you making the claim that Jinn encounters are illusions and/or human deficiencies in perception? If so … don’t show us these tricks - show us case by the case the explanation of the encounters themselves.**

In that link is totally out of context to this thread ... We are talking about Jinn here and you are talking about proving the Qur'an to be Divine ... Come on ... at least have relevancy as part of your agenda !!!
Re: Jinn stories/encounters
Dear psyah, I have tried to explain things in the other thread because that will show you how I understand the quran. Single issue is not a good idea for discussion because we are at opposite ends. You seem from your post very mazhabi and I am very deeni. My understanding of words used in the quran is very different from yours because I am looking at the quranic text from a deeni point of view.

Re: Jinn stories/encounters
okay forget all of that
Madhzabi and Deeni are just words … You can claim to be anything really … I could call you Hadith rejector or miracle denier … But that does not matter to you either and it doesn’t help to say that.
What’s with … “Will dancing get you laid” … ??? Seriously? …:5:

Re: Jinn stories/encounters
Nothing surprising there, dear psyah, the world is full of people out there with ideas that we find strange. So it all depends on how much we have used our brains and senses to make sense of our world.
The deeper and the wider bank of information we have and the better and better sense we make of it the better is going to be our understanding of things.
Just because process of learning about things is a difficult one we should not accept crazy ideas to save ourselves the trouble of hard work. In the end that leads to terrible results as we see all around us in our world. Only proper knowledge of things pays not ignorance otherwise we ought to remain as we were born. Moreover ignorant people can never change the world rather world changes them whereas learned people change the world by changing themselves. The prophets of Allah came to change the world for the better on the basis of knowledge on top of knowledge. NOORUN ALAA NOOR. The light of knowledge that comes from brain and senses and light of knowledge that comes through revelation of Allah. A clear proof that people who have no basic knowledge have no sense of making proper sense of revelation either. This is why the quran is not understood by a new born baby till he learns from his own experiences and becomes able to make sense of it. Basically all knowledge comes from Allah because he chose to give us some knowledge one way and some another way if we bother to learned it. Ummah has given up on learning knowledge for centuries now thanks to our witch doctors who issue all kinds of crazy fatwas to help us become crazy people instead.
By putting lid on things you only create heated environment in which melts all that is inside that environment in due course.

Re: Jinn stories/encounters
OK going back to the topic. ..
Without giving away any personal details, I’d just say that Jinns are real and jinn possession is real. I have personally witnessed a lady possessed by a jinn. When Ruqya (exorcism) was performed on this lady, the jinn spoke. It was a manly voice and there was no way the lady could have faked it. During this ruqya process the lady’s body was contorted in an abnormal shape and she was hitting the walls and floor and was literally angry at the ruqya performer. There were various flesh wounds on the lady’s arms and neck and entire body which appeared out of nowhere as if she was being cut with knives. Yes i saw all this happen in front of me and I wasnt under the influence of vodka or weed ![]()

Re: Jinn stories/encounters
^ people say that jinns not only possess you but in some cases just influence you...... like when you are angry they come to you... is that possible? ..... how do people permanently get rid of these things because some people say these jinns don't leave that person easily & if they do they come back again to attack whenever they get the chance ? ....
Re: Jinn stories/encounters

I find your lack in ability of posting relevant posts more shocking than the head surgery in Africa … In fact I don’t find the head surgery surprising … It is 96% successful … As your video states …
Would you like a bit more time to find something a tad more contributing to the thread of Jinn … It is you who are having trouble with the idea of Jinn not me … I already believe there are creatures that exist that we cannot see … And the optical illusions video you posted only support my argument that if we cannot trust our eyes even then why should we trust them when they can’t see anything? Why should we assume that Jinn do not exist because we can’t see them when the video you posted says we cannot fully trust our eyes?

Re: Jinn stories/encounters
Wow. Very interesting.
Another common occurrence which could be Sleep Paralysis or a Jinn encounter. Anyone experience that?
It feels like you're awake, but you're unable to move, you feel like you're yelling at the top of your lungs but there is no sound coming out. Usually lasts for a few moment/minutes, and then you're relieved of it, and all is normal again. It is often associated (in terms of paranormal) to a Jinn encounter; as if the being was sitting on your chest and choking you and thereby keeping you from moving or screaming.
*Tip: Any house in which Surah Baqarah is recited frequently is a no-go zone for Satan. Ultimate protection against Jinns and Satan at night is to recite Surah Kursi before sleeping, for it guards you till morning by the will of Allah (swt). * Please share more experiences if you have any....
I experienced that several times, I saw a documentary on TV there is a scientific reason for it nothing to do with Jins etc.... It was something like when you are asleep your brain relaxes and is disconnected from the body but sometimes your awake but communication with the body is not restored until few minutes latter.
