I’m talking about guys here, and I know it’s a bit risky what with all the homo talk flying around but what the hell. I met an old friend from uni recently who has moved away. Hadn’t seen him for so long I just gave him a big ol’ hug and it’s like the most natural thing in the world. Now if a gora witnessed all that they’d get some pretty weird ideas.
Thing is Ahmedjee asked me a while back if I’d give him a jhappi if we met up and I said I would. If I meet Matsui in London I’d probably give him one too. How do you guys feel about this? Is it a cultural strength or a bit close to the edge?
Jhappi is one of the fringe benefits of being a Pakistani male. It’s perfectly OK. And I have seen goras paa-ing jhappis all the time. Goras do what they feel is right. Why do we have to look upto them for approval of things we strongly believe are right.
i have a friend and he moved here from india...he would try to kiss me on my cheek and ****..and that too in public and it would freak me out..back home guys hold each others hands but i guess in india they do chumma chaati too haha..anyways he isnt a fob anymore so its all good now
i think its perfectly fine to see two guys hugging.... all sri lankans, greeks, italians, mauritian men do it... then why not pakistanis and indians...
and yeah all of the above do give kisses on each cheek as well exclusing desis..
I think it's great if two guys can hug each other without getting all homophobic about it. If two friends hug each other, how different is that than two brothers hugging eachother?
Why not take things further by doing what 3/4 of the rest of the world does by kissing each other on the cheek? ;)
