I like the Pakistani flag , you like the Pakistani flag, we all like the Pakistani flag.
Well, ok, they could have made it more festive, but then Pakistanis are not a festive lot anyway.
When a flag is hoisted up, it symbolizes something. When it is brought down and replaced with another flag, that action has tremendous meaning.
I am hearing that in Swat, Mualana Fazlullah radio-Imam (Polio-vaccines-are-haraam-head-of-Swat-insurgency) has brought down the Pakistani flag and hoisted up the Taliban flag.
Is this true? They barely mentioned it on GEO, according to a family member, and they haven’t been mentioning it much since.
This supposedly was one of the setting off points for the emergency - if this is the case, WHY is this not on the news.

What do you feel about this?
because Mr. Tariq Azeem (i think that's his name) of the govt. said while talking to Dr. Shahid Masood of GEO for the first time in 3+ days claiming that media was 'helping spread' the terrorism by airing news of these folks, and that they were being given publicity. And it is for that reason the govt. has come down had on media and cut it off. Ridiculous. As for the rest, i really dono ws happenin or will happen. My head's spinning watchin/hearin/readin all this fiasco. Things are sooo complicated right now.

What do you feel about this?
One can be as under standing as he/she want OR he/she can be as arrogant as they want about the whole situation.
TO so many people Pakistan has change its stance on so many thing so fast.
One thing among them is our values. Not every one could digest that shift properly.
Those people(fazal ullah' ppl) could be as dumb as a brick BUT one thing can't be questioned about them is their passion for pakistan/islam and their honesty.
SO PCG if you were almighty president of pakistan what would you do??
kill them ?? or pacify them and bring the change over the time of few decade??

I am not even going to respond to any claims that excuse this behavior. You don't love Pakistan and then raise up a flag that's not Pakistani on Pakistani soil. You're obviously stating that you are in process of overthrowing the Pakistani government and creating a new nation. That's not love for Pakistan. That's taking over a country.

I wouldn't get too worked up by a few nutters in Swat. Having been to the Swat valley many times, I'll tell you, you find more patriotic Pakistani's than them. Lovely place, lovely and truly hospitable people. I have talked to a few people from Swat in recent months, and all of them sick to death of Fazlullah or whatever his name is. They will be gladly welcoming the military kicking his backside out of the area.
i give more importance to human life…u don’t…for you jhanda issue is more important than the indiscriminate butchering of the innocent civilians by the army under madman mushy’s command. if jhanda is of such significance to you then i guess asma jehangir should be your secondary concern. :k:

Yea, and it is duty of Pakistan to liberate these patriotic Pakistanis of Swat from those retarded criminals and traitors, terrorists of Swat (Fazlullah and his crook followers).
