Jews always produced learned people in all the fields especially in science. Some religious people believe that this is due to the fact their forefathers ate Man o Salwa (a food from heavens provided to Bani Isreal - Jewish tribes when they were wandering after they left Egypt)
Do you believe on this theory? If not, what are the factors behind Jewish success and power they have today?

I heard that Jews are God Gifted people, they posses sharp minds, reason is that they had been blessed with "Man-o-Salwa" which was taken away from them because of their ungratefulness.

of course NOT! first of all, i never heard such linkage...secondly, do you think race plays a role when it comes to the level of intelligence one has? we have to accept the fact that they perform better than others because of their better education system, better access to funds and they are simplyu more organized.

But there is something special about them. They were not always that organized. Indeed they faced severe hostility over the centuries. We can say that may be that hardship made them serious about their survival.

yeah, and also, they are thriving on the 'GUILT factor' on part of Christians all over the western world...they helped them out of their way...initially!

i was talking mainly about the holocaust...that guilt after the world wars! the guilt about Jesus' crucifiction is another one which is less now...giving hard time is another thing...individuals aur Neo-Nazis wrecked havoc is another story.

may be one or two Govts who don't count much...since after the world war II, they have been enjoying all perks by all the western powers like the US, UK and as a result became the spoiled-brats. see how the state of israel was created and how, to date, is being supported by the US and it's cronies.

You are right that overall situation is in their favour after WW2, but before that they were the victims in history. When I said Spain, it was about the treatment that they met after Christian established their Government in 1492 after expelling Muslims.

I think any community that has been chased and hunted becomes organized and learns new method of warfare and survival, it is necessity of jews to remain organized and excel, as excellence and innovation has no replacement:)

Agree and Jews have been from all this since centuries. But isn't that strange that when a victimised group achieves power, it starts exploiting the others.

but, other races have been subjected to harsher treatments and they did NOT propsper as much as Jews did...i tend to believe that it was the GUILT factor on parts of the Christian Western powers after the WWII that they enjoyed the right kinda environment and since they were smart people, they prospered by leaps N bounds...you have to give credit to the jews for manipulating this guilt to their advantage. :)

But KKF if this is all about guilt factor, why Muslims can't encash such sentiments as they have also been oppressed in many countries?

What jews did was a bit amazing, noone understands meaning of oppression than them and yet they learnt opressing others immidately, may be their holocaust made them more intolerant but jews crossed all lines:bummer:
Jews were rich even before WWII, the lesson of trade and commerce never goes, baniyas in india never get poor even though sometimes even their bussiness goes in loss, Jatts are as rich as they were before partition, in our life it appears as if partition never occured, manipulating guilt factor in christian world also shows their smartness plus number of scientific breakthroughs they acheived is also magnificent, i beleive even if holocaust woundn’t have occured they would have been as prosperous as they are.

As per Bible, Jew women took ornaments of Egyptians women and took that with them on their Exodus journey. May be that became the source of wealth for Jews :halo:

As far as I know Mana was some plant based foodstuff and Salwa was Quail meat.
Trust me I have probably got the GS record for the amount of Quail hunted and consumed but I dont think it has made me any smarter. 
Although the legends say that originally quail were much bigger and had several kilos wieght to them… but becuase of the Jews not listening to Gods orders they were punished and the quail reduced in size so that today they are tiny little birds but still very tasty.

You are right about the specification of Man o Salwa, but it was a blessed food from heavens and it would have been different from the normal variety available today
