Absolutely correct. The crucifiction is essential but even more is the coming alive again. If Jesus did not rise again in a physical sense, then Christianity has no basis as religion.

One they agree no matter how many centuries later, that he is the Son and not* the servent* then it is easier to replace the word servent with son. and once this sect grows into a major religion you will find only the word son and any suggestion to degrade this son to servent would be opposed with might.

This argument would hold exept that enough documents exist from the people who knew the disciples and Jesus personally where they also wrote in the same vein. The doctrine was not “formulated” centuries after Jesus but immediately afterwards using even the Old Testament.

Gospel of Barnabas can only find its way into dustbin as it is (supposidly ) muslim propoganda tool for devoted Roman catholics.

The Gospel of Barnabas were clearly written centuries after Jesus as many other documents.
