You seem like an intelligent person, or at least have that facade, so you tell me how poverty would go down without investment by foreigners or the natives? Corruption is only one element, but stability through law & order is a huge element as who wants to invest in a place where they can’t get their return or the price to do it (insurance) is steep?

People have been assassinated in power and you are talking about as if it is some far fetched reality. Perhaps, being a supporter of imran khan does suit your right.
